The system works great once you've figured out you have to pay and order first. It's a beautiful restaurant inside and service is fast and effective. Go early or they'll run out of certain salteñas. Delicious balance of flavours. Best salteña in Sucre in my opinion

Nice patio to enjoy and great coffee. Good for foreigners, you won't get sick. If you're more than one in a group, send someone to find a table while u wait in line.

Had heard mixed reviews about this place and I had to make a real effort to eat here. Three times I visited and each time they had ran out of saltañas. Each time I was told by one or two different staff who were either rude or completely disinterested. Finally on the fourth visit I managed to get served two... More

Had the carne as well as the chicken saltenas. The chicken was better than the carne, which was essentially beef stew inside. I wouldn't recommend going out of your way for this. If you happen to be in front of the place and hungry, grab one, but don't expect anything more than average flavor. Pretty space though.

Best salteñas and empanadas I had in bolivia so far. Located in the Center with a nice yard. About 16 Bs for a salteñas or empanadas

A quick lunch stop. Firstly, you give your order at the front desk as you walk in, then take a seat. A staff member then takes your receipt and returns with your food. The food was quite good, the service was reasonable. You sit in a courtyard, which is quite good for watching people. All in all, not bad for... More

I think regarding the Salteñas, this place is overrated, They are neither especially good nor worse. If you ar hunting for the best Salteñas, go to the streets and eat yourself through the secret recipes of the street vendors and different pastelerias! The place is very good however, to watch the locals mingle with tourists. Very nice to have a... More

The best saltenas in town ( so our local friends told us). We certainly enjoyed them and returned for more a number of times. The juga con leche was excellent also. It is an airy atmosphere, a great place to have a brunch of saltenas. It is a saltenas place so that is what is on the menu.

Perfect for a light lunch or snack. We tried a meat and chicken saltenas and they were both incredible, particularly the meat one. Very sad that we didn't have the time to return! Useful to note that it closes at 1, so get there early. On our first trip we got there and it was closed :(

The menu is simple: chicken saltena, beef saltena, or chicken empanada to eat (each selling for about $1); soda, water or lemonade to drink. There's a counter as you walk in, and you order and pay there. You then take your receipt and sit at a table, and a waitress will eventually come, take your receipt, and then bring your... More
