I like to meet people here for lunch, there's a refrigerated case as you walk in stocked with pre-made wrapped sandwiches. I like the turkey, it has a dill mayo on Semolina bread. I've also tried the Three Piggies, Tuna Salad and Veggie sandwiches. While not the most outstanding sandwiches ever, they're fresh, fast and quite tasty. What is outstanding... More

This is located off the beaten path in a more industrial area - so deal with that. The bake house is a really cozy, factory like shop with everything you need bake wise. Grab a number when you get in and browse! Very friendly staff.

We had a chocolate cake with chocolate filling for my daughters birthday party last weekend. The cake was the best cake EVER. It was so moist and yet dense. The icing was not overly sweet but perfect. It was a hit and I kept coming back for more. We opted for a simple design on the top - just Happy... More

Supermarket cakes will always be a disappointment after having a cake from the Bakehouse. Boston Cream Pie - to die for! There is a nice selection of European candies and other goodies. Best coffee I've had since France.

The Bakehouse makes delicious bread. You can get it shipped anywhere. Frank knows his stuff and has travelled worldwide perfecting it. Warning: must begin exercise program when beginning eating this as it's easy to put on a few as its so delicious.

I like the atmosphere and really want to like the food at the bake house, but I just don't. The pastries are not flaky and the fillings don't taste special. Similar to grocery store goods. The bread is ok but nothing special.

My wife and I were introduced by friends to the classes that are offered by Zingerman's. They cover baking of bread, cookies, pies, deserts, cakes and more. We've now attended two classes and learned how to make 'Detroit Style Pizza' - Think Buddy's and Sheild's Pizza, and just attended a class on making awesome bread. These classes are hands on... I wanted to buy the best cake in town for my grandson's 2nd birthday. The children loved the sweet-cream frosting and raspberry filling.

We were greeted with a smile and friendly introduction to the bakery products. You can see people actually working the dough in a clean working area through the window. Quality is sublime. Every item we tried was worth the price. The breads on display made us feel as if we were in Europe and not in midwest. This is a... More

We stopped in here on our way from Ohio to Grand Rapids and tried a variety of things. The highlight is definitely the Raspberry pastries that come in a light, flaky crust with a nice jam on the inside - just enough. Quite Excellent. The rest of the items we tried had a variety of reactions. Croissants - very good.... More
