I had heard of Gratzi years ago, but had never been here. My husband and I stopped in Sunday after visiting UMMA. I was very pleased with the menu (although I do not condone the consumption of veal). Our waitress was absolutely wonderful. I wish...More

We went with friends from Ann Arbor who said this was excellent food. The food was good, but we had "unusual" issues with the waiter, which impacted the food choices. Both couples ordered the Watermelon salad to start. The menu says that it came with...More

We needed a place in downtown Ann Arbor that was new to us both, so we chose Gratzi, and we weren't disappointed. The mushroom-stuffed pasta was wonderful, and just enough for us to share. For dinner, my companion had eggplant Parmesan, which she said was...More

The food was really good. I had lamb chops and were cooked to perfection. I felt the plate choice wasn't the best. It looked more like a soup plate which made it really hard to cut the meat. The service was so and so -...More

Honestly, we thought the food would be better for these prices. I have to say the starters we ordered (Sacchetti mushroom pouches in a cream sauce and a terrific Caprese salad) were both outstanding. My husband had the Pollo Marsala, which he liked some, but...More

We went to Gratzi for my birthday-- which meant our table got a discount on our meal. I have food sensitivities and cannot eat gluten, dairy or soy. We ordered a meat and cheese tray appetizer. A bread basket was also brought to the table....More

I met family at Gratzi, a party of 9, and the wait staff could not have been nicer. The food was very good and generous.

Despite my reservations, my husband and I dined at Gratzi's for a Saturday dinner. I lowered my expectations, and I was still disappointed. If you have not dined in Italy or experienced authentic and delicious Italian cuisine, in metropolitan or cosmopolitan cities like Toronto or...More

Gratzi, an elegant Italian restaurant with distinct style, was founded in downtown Ann Arbor, Mich. in December 1987. Formerly the Orpheum Theater, which screened the most popular movies of the day in the 1930s, Gratzi maintains the flair of the dramatic history still preserved today in the restaurant's elegant décor and ambience. Seated above Gratzi's bar is a grand sculpture of Orpheus himself, the great poet and musician, overlooking dining room guests, while a beautifully painted Renaissance-style mural depicting an ancient bacchanal reinforces the indulgent and purely pleasurable atmosphere. Indulge in the purely pleasurable atmosphere and savor unique flavors of regional Italian cuisine and wine.
