It's Ann Arbor version, I suppose. I had an Everthing Bagel toasted with Cream Cheese. It is so soft, it tasted like a half-baked white-bread muffin. The crust was not chewy, just harder than the rest of the bagel (I imagine that was the seeds and spices that made it taste like that). The cream cheese was not tasty, rather... More

I am forever in search of a decent (New York style) bagel in this city of Ann Arbor. This was a disappointment. I shall not return and continue my search. Their Barry Bagel truck advertising in plain view of zillions passing by told me they were in Westgate Shopping Center. The line was ULTRA confusing (where should I be to... More

We are native Long Islanders and we have traveled 30-40 minutes to get their Bakers dozen on Sunday. They are boiled and baked. Nice crust and flavorings on the outside and soft texture on the inside without being too doughy. We have had them made into an egg sandwich but we mostly eat them plain or with butter. Their coffees... More

Doesn't look like much from the outside but they have very authentic NY Bagels. Large tasty and the correct style of dough used that reminds me of Essa Bagels in NYC. Buy a single with breakfast or lunch items on it or a dozen all are very good. Does get busy and sometimes a wait but some of the best... More

As a native New Yorker, I am very fussy about bagels. They should be dense and chewy on the inside, but nice and crusty outside. Barry's comes closest of all the Ann Arbor bagel shops to nailing it. The coffee blends are good -- always critical for a weekend breakfast -- the muffins are fresh, for a change of pace,... More

This eatery is located in a strip mall. The line moves fast and the sandwiches are very good. On our last visit, we just picked up some muffins, which were very good. Nothing fancy, but a good find, especially for lunch.

Barry's bagels are good if you like the soft fluffy type of bagel (as opposed to the chewy type of bagel). In all honesty, if you get a dozen assorted bagels with cream cheese here, you will be in and out quickly and everyone you serve them to will be satisfied. For this type of order, I would give them... More

We have Barry Bagels every month for our office meeting. They are the employee favorite and we wouldn't think of going anywhere else. One employee even remarked, "Barry Bagel day is my favorite day at work."

Stopped in and grabbed a bagel to go. They used to have a marble bagel but don't anymore. The spinach and feta bagel was not really any better than a lender's bagel. I prefer Panera bread. Atmosphere seemed like more older people.
