I visited El Bistro during their happy hour for a few cocktails and again later in the evening for food. The happy hour drinks were delicious and such a great price. Try the passion fruit mojitos. When we returned later in the evening we had margaritas that we're great and we shared the paella for two. The paella was pretty... More

Given the laudative comments in many a tourist guide, you would expect that place to live up to your expectations. Either the day was not auspicious or the general level of that restaurant has dramatically decreased... for the worse ! We went there for dinner around 9 pm. Service was excruciatingly slow, surly and unprofessional . We had to wait... More

Very good German bread, get it to take. Freshly squeezed fruit juices made of a large number of local fruits, great to lower your temperature during the day, or just a beer. And also great to have an all included lunch at a good price, they offer daily menus with different options usually appealing and at a very goof price.

Haven't eaten here although the food on the menu sounds appetizing. I was in El Bistro for three consecutive evenings enjoying coctails. There is a happy hour from 5pm to 7pm. Great caipirinhas, mojitos (try maracuja/passionfruit one) and other coctails for 8000 pesos each! They know how to do them right!

We arrived at the late side of the lunch hour so room was essentially empty. You would have imagined we asked for a favor the way the wait staff treated us. I ordered a medallion de sierra. The section was over-cooked and dry. The beef dish almost ended up in my dining partner's lap because it was slung over his... More

This place has a European flair in the setting and atmosphere. Very cozy and friendly, with a bar section and the restaurant serving local and some international food, such as steak and pasta. The service is very kind but tropical. We had a menu set with a good soup, a salad and the usual fried fish. Bang for the bucks.

That’s a nice place to have a kind of “European or Continental type” meal. Everybody should find what he needs. Plates are well done, service is quite fast. Price quality ratio is good. Choice goes from pasta to fish, meats to vegetarian, soups, etc. Wine is good too. The have nice beers from tap. Quite noisy ...

The food here was fantastic. Fresh, healthy ingredients, genuinely tasty, great presentation, and with a latin flare. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very chill. Interestingly, the artwork was also top notch--very diverse and unique.

After a long day swimming and visiting castles we went to old town Cartagena for a meal, bypassing El Baron and Peru Fusion as neither seemed to have food that would appeal to our children. However the ribs n mash in El Bistro was an attractive option. So we went in, sat down, ordered food (kids fish sticks, ribs, beef... More
