Really an experience. The tables are set up picnic style inside. They also have a rooftop service in season. The food is often fried and fattening. Having said that the potato pancakes are amazing. The other food is pretty good too. My grandchildren have much...More

Go here often, after spending over 3 years in Germany, I am very critical of places that call themselves Biergartens but this place is as close as you can get to authentic. ..great bier, food and entertainment. ..

The complete food menu is available downstairs in the restaurant - with traditional German cuisine, including fish and vegetarian choices. We go to the large, three-level roof deck for the best view of the sunset and the colorful houses in Ocean Grove across the lake....More

1st time customer, with friends and business associates. Very authentic German food in a wonderfully restored building. Many traditional and seasonal dishes. Come hungry, leave full and happy.

This is not a sports bar with TVs to watch. This is a large room like a German beer hall with long picnic style tables. There is also a bar area, but the bar seats are small and somewhat uncomfortable. That said, the atmosphere is...More

I've been to the festhalle on several occasions and I always order the jaeger schnitzel. The pork is crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The gravy is super flavorful with a smoked bacon element. The desserts change often and I always try...More

Description
Asbury Festhalle & Biergarten brings an authentic biergarten experience to Asbury Park, a tradition that Europeans have enjoyed for centuries - communal tables where friends and strangers mingle in a lively, friendly atmosphere, energized by a regular schedule of live music. The establishment features a 9,000 square foot outdoor rooftop Biergarten and 6,000 square foot indoor hall. We pour 31 premium draft beers and serve over 60 bottles, including American craft beers. The menu is classic biergarten fare with a focus on comfort foods from Austro-Hungaria, flavorful and perfectly executed by Executive Chef James Avery.
