I stop here all the time while mucking around in the bay on my dinghy. The staff is excellent, the drinks are strong, and the food is exactly what's expected. The outdoor space is beautiful, and dogs are allowed. Take your kids fishing.

My wife and I went there during the #50bitesAC promotion/charity event. They served Jerk Chicken. I was not impressed. The wings were not crispy and the skin was fatty. We went there last year and had the chowder which was great.

We came for a sunset dinner. We sat on the enclosed porch, which gave us an excellent view. The mason-jar margaritas-- signature wacky colored-- were a lot of fun to drink. The food was tasty, but a bit rich for me. As appetizer, we ordered the garlic shrimp. And for our entrées, my husband got the Island Salmon, and I... More

This casual friendly ale house was a fun place to have lunch after visiting the aquarium (walking distance.) Full bar, so beer, etc. with lunch. Food was very good, generous portions, comfort foods like kielbasa smothered in onions on roll! They worked with me for gluten free options as everything is cooked on site. I had plain grilled mahi-mahi to... More

We stopped here after a walk around AC. It was cold and windy. We enjoyed both soups on the menu The Back Bay pale ale was good. Several appetizers later we were warmed up and ready to go again.

We had a few beers on the patio while waiting for boarding on a dolphin-watching boat. At $8 a pint, even though it's in a cute mason jar, it was more than we would normally spend on beer. We can't attest to the food, but the service was quick and friendly.

I'm doing 50 bites in AC. First stop Back bay ale house. Loving the people, loving the food, especially Diane, Mama D as they call her who just greeted us at the door and from there on out we just wanted to eat and drink at their bar. Try their great soups and clam strips! Big drinks, friendly bartender! Enjoy!

My husband had a great seafood Cobb salad. It was a huge portion with lots of crab and shimp. I had the jerk chicken sandwich (minus the bread) and it was very much overcooked, but the flavor was good.

Description
Back Bay has been open in AC since 2003. We pride ourselves on great service, delicious food and fantastic atmosphere and views. In the warmer months we feature outside dining and bar. We are the home of the Basin Mason, a 32oz mason jar beverage. We have a large variety of craft beers. Nightly on our upstairs deck we do a sunset toast to say goodbye to the daylight :)
