My husband and I visited this place for a date night. The ambience is very dark and romantic. The filet was delicious, truffle potatoes perfectly cooked, and my husband was shocked at how good the bolognese was (since it wasn't an Italian restaurant). The bread was crusty, the wine selection was extensive, and even the dessert was delicious. The music... More

Don't miss it. Between Harborside Grill and Christines. Go up the stairs and there it is. It's a restaurant-come lounge-come Bar. We ate at the Bar. The Crab special was super tasty and the Tuna Tartare magnificent, washed down with a bottle of Sancerre. Not expensive and wonderful service. It's been open 5+ years but we didn't even know. Don't... More

As always, the ambiance and service were both wonderful, but we were very disappointed in our dinners. We had the special surf and turf and shared the Pappardelle Bolognese as an appetizer. The Bolognese was very good, as was the Filet Mignon portion of our surf and turf, however, the lobster was appallingly bad. It was tiny (smaller than a... More

A few years ago, we thought that The Wine Bar ( above the Harborside grill) was just a upscale bar until our daughter told us that it also had a good restaurant next to the bar/ lounge . We were pleasantly surprised to find a upscale restaurant with excellent food, ambiance and service. We now regularly go to the Wine... More

DW and I, seniors, arrived for dinner around 6 PM on a Thursday night. This upstairs venue has a warm cozy feel with a fireplace in the dining area and low-level lighting. Rather than starting in the bar area we went directly to our table. Graciously, the hostess allowed the happy hour prices to be applied to the tables in... More

We have dined at the Wine Bar numerous times and I must say that we enjoy stopping by for cocktails and appetizers. The bartenders make some pretty tasty concoctions and it is a treat when they have live music. Our last visit was on a Friday after a long week of work. We enjoyed stopping in early before it got... Went to Atlantic Highlands looking for a place to have a couple cocktails, opting for The Wine Bar as a new place to try. Very relaxed. Kelly and Katie were attentive without being overbearing. Kelly did try to help with selections when my wife's chosen wine was unavailable. It's a limited , but good, menu of wines, liquors and a... More

We came here last week and decided to sit down at the dinner tables and have some appetizers and entrees. BAD DECISION. We started off with the Mediterranean spread, which was weird but good. I believe it was hummus, mixed with tzaziki, and avocados. I never tasted anything like it, but it wasn't bad actually. My husband got a pasta... More

Stopped at The Wine Bar for a cocktail before our dinner at another location. It's a flight up from the street and a very nice relaxed atmosphere inside. We sat at the bar and ordered some drinks. Not impressed with the list, expected it to be expansive. Bartender was not attentive, which always puts a damper in my opinion. She did... More

Drinks are always great here. Upscale feel with a casual crowd. It's great on a nice summer night with a light breeze. We always come with friends but it's nice for a relaxing night for 2. You can't go wrong here.
