Lovely position on the Lungomare. Shelter from the sun, or rain! Good service and very clean. Is run as a guest house too with its own little beach area.

Beautiful view, good food in this restaurants, local tastes, everything was ok, only one thing not so nice, we didnt order starter, but they bring, and charged it...and happened one time, that our bills were not our, but the amount was similar, so it was not a big problem. I recommend this restaurant because of the good food and good... More

The Mali Raj is located in a great location in front of the sea. The main problem of this place is the terrible quality-price relationship of their offer. We ordered fish soup and fish filet for four people plus home made wine (limited quality one). The soup was tasteless...seemed hot water with some peaces of fish inside...not flavour at all....... Beautiful seaview, fast and kind service, less than average food for an unbeliveable high price. The place was empty and just a few table was occupied. The waiter was very kind and offered us a fish ( that wasn't fresh). We tried it and paid for it ( "1,6 kg fish??????") Endless, not a good experience.

The restaurant is in very beautiful place. The table settings were also nice, perhaps too fine at lunch time. We have been at this restaurant also two years ago. Both time it has been almost empty at lunch time. The food was ok. It shoud has a lighter lunch menu. Finally big frustration was a table fee in bill. It... More

I walked the coast trail from Opatija to Lovran and stopped at this restaurant for a glass of local wine, lunch and the view. It was sublime. Looking out from a terrace across the promenade from the restaurant hanging over the Adriatic was exactly how to pause during the long, beautiful walk. The wine was very good, and hardly cost... We visited Opatija by car from Buzet and Hum... surprisingly fast by freeway. After parking at Saltina lot near the big Marina we walked along... the path seems to go right through a restaurant and continues for at least a mile (that's how far we got and landed at Mali Raj for a 2pm lunch. The other diners appeared to... More

Along your stroll on the Lungomare You will find this rather pretty restaurant. Best to avoid and continue to the next small port. Bad food and outwardly rude service. A stop here could ruin your day.

Malij Raj is situated 3 km away from Lovran and the same from Opatija and by my opinion something should be more than nice sea views which you can enjoy in any step of the promenade. We have paid 120 euro for 4 persons but got nothing extra which let us come back. But in general dishes were enough tasty,... More

Took a cab there from our hotel 3 kms away in the evening as we thought the view looked incredible when we walked along the day before. Starters and main meals were very bad, cantine like. Also the waiters were miserables and provided no advice. So upset, we left without finishing our wine..
