We picked this restaurant as a result of the reviews on TripAdvisor. The restaurant is very nice for Santa Rosa. The menu is extensive, the prices were very reasonable and the portions were very generous. I had the Yellow tuna special, straight from the market that morning and my wife had the arroz y pollo. Both were well prepared and... More

I ordered a seafood platter and it was terrible. The dish was to be made in wine or garlic, however the chef must have screwed up and made both of us, as the dish was very strong taste of both. The squid and octopus were hard, the pod was bark, at last horrible. I informed the waiter that he would... More

La Garrapata was one of three local restaurants recommended to us by our host. The service was a little slow but the food was excellent and we enjoyed eating there. That said, from the photos in the restaurant it’s clear that the place lost its views long ago - when Puerto Ayora developed in the 1980s. Today, all that’s left... More

I joined a friend here in the afternoon and he had thoughtfully saved some of his meal for me to try. If I hadn't have already eaten I would have most definitely ordered a meal based on this taster! The tuna with sesame seeds was delicious and cooked perfectly and the avocado was just right, with a lovely soy sauce... More

The fish here is incredible. There is nothing else like it on the island! I would eat it every day. It's so fresh, and the restaurant is so airy and beautiful. It's a remove from the busy day and their fish will rejuvenate you and make you ready to go into the rest of the day or night satisfied.

Had dinner and liked the place, the service and last but not least the food. The grilled octapus was just delicious, it comes with grilled vegetables so fresh and tasty. I highly recommend this place. I had the apple cake which is more of a nut cake, but very good too.

Excellent dinner experience. Service was a bit slow at first, but they made up for it! Food was great. All three of us enjoyed our meal.

I want to write a different review of La Garrapata. However, it shows the place's quality. Often people review a restaurant when they catch there a diarrhea. My case is the opposite: La Garrapata helped me a great deal to overcome a nasty diarrhea I cought somewhere else. I woke up in Ayora last Tuesday with heavy diarrhea. I had... More

We wandered in here. My son had the Seafood BBQ served on a metal brazier over the coals! He loved it. It's a good value.I had a delicious fish in a coconut sauce. Good value, nice place.
