We went here our first day. Food was overall good. Fish slightly over cooked for some. Everything was very fresh including the salads. Pleasant service

We tried many places in Puerto Ayora, all were pretty good. La G was average. Food was average, service was average. The dirt floors interesting. Good place for people watching though and below average drink prices. Not a bad place, but I don't think it's #2 in Santa Cruz

We ate here 4 times while in the Galapagos Islands. Everything my Husband and I had was delicious. I would recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. FYI the floor is a dark lava like gravel so if you wear sandals just step carefully.

We stopped here as part of a group tour. While the food was alright there was nothing special to entice us back if we had the time to do so.

The food was amazing. I had the grilled shrimps and my husband had the teriyaki tuna. Both were the best of any kind we ever had. Not too crazy about the garlic bread and mojitos were 2 for 1!

Decent food. Mostly no English but that's fine. On the main tourist strip next to ATM. Very generous portions. Had the quinoa with veg and beef skewers. Beef was overcooked but flavour good. Chocolate cake was amazing.

Thought the food was top notch, portions were good size. Impressed that they had four vegetarian options, the remainder of the menu looked good. Not super cheap but think it was good value for what you get. Take note that they add a service charge so you don't need to leave s tip too!

My husband and I visit the islands often and La Garrapata is our favorite place for any meal. Some days we eat lunch and dinner there. The service is always fast and efficient and the food never disappoints. There are many restaurants in town, but we always end up at La Garrapata. It is one of the first "real" restaurants... More

We had dinner here the last day but which it had been the first; then we could have come back. The quality and atmosphere were great. The options were great and some were creatively different from the other restaurants.

We visited twice; once for morning coffee/cold drinks and once for dinner. Both times service was good (not excellent but good enough) and food was good. We had fish in herb sauce and prawns in garlic sauce - both came with rice and veg - good sized portions. Nice place to watch world go by too.
