Our local guide recommended Williams to us and we were glad we found time to visit this during our packed itinerary. The coconut sauce is divine you just want to drink it. The shrimp was cooked to perfection. Food arrived to the table in less than 5 minutes. We would come back for the ambience and hang out here with... More

We ate on that block several times with different vendors. William is one of the smaller ones but the food was great. We had the fish in coconut sauce and carne a dada, both are delicious though I personally prefer the carne asada more. The service is extremely slow but that's not uncommon there. Many locals are there so we... More

It's lobster season and I had to try the tipical dish, The service was good but the lobster had been prepared earlier and was a bit tough, could do better.

One of the best lobsters I have had! Encocado is the word in this place. Encocado de langosta for $17 I paid. Ask for a beer. Try club verde which is a local brand. It is not a nice place since you are pretty much eating o a closed street but I had the same feeling in Little Italy New... More

Good encocado, totally different environment, crowdy.... A really good local experience... There are no personal beers which turned out to be perfect.... Personal is really friendly and "el negro" is a really nice person

everyone raved about Williams... so we had to go. it was good but didn't blow me away. I would recommend the shrimp enconcado over the langostino which i found to be a bit tough (overcooked) and expensive for what you got--which was two smallish lobster tails and alot of rice with a little bit but not a generous proportion of... Puerto Ayora has a street filled with semi-permanent buildings for food vendors, and dining tables are set up in the pedestrian-only street at night. This is one of the vendors, and it was packed with Westerners, but I don’t know why. It was ok. A better place, is called Sol y Mar, is 2 vendors or so up the street... More

Living in Puerto Ayora, Williams is one of the few restaurants that I continue to go back to time and again, and Im never disappointed! The atmosphere of the kioskos street adds to the truly authentic experience of eating at Williams. William specializes in encocado, which is a buttery coconut sauce, and you can get it with fish, shrimp, and... More

We ate there twice, and the food was excellent. They make different kinds of Encocado (ecuadorian dishes cooked with coconut). The mixed encocado with shrimp, fish and lobster is the best! They are also really fast, and have your dish ready within 10min. In spite that it is a street market restaurant, they had some of the best food we've... More

Description
It's like a street food joint....with a small kitchen and most of the seating outdoors. It's a couple of blocks inland (off the main street where most of the "nicer" restaurants are). The food is excellent, fresh and cheap. ($15 for a pair of lobster tails).
