Fantastic restaurant with the best cocktails in The Gambia. We have been plenty of times over 6 years, but most recently for Valentine's. The food is excellent and top quality presentation with an attentive and hard working staff. The frozen raspberry daiquiri is the perfect...More

Good food, lots of vegetarian options. Portions are pretty big. Staff is very friendly and the restaurant is nicely decorated. The only downside is that it's quite expensive - for Gambian standards that is, for European standards it's very reasonable!

This place was outstanding! The food was delicious and the staff was very attentive. Definitely try the shrimp and the crusted chicken dish.

I visited Gaya Art cafe twice while in Banjul - once for coffee and cheesecake, once for dinner. Cheesecake was delicious - I chose the passion fruit sauce. Dinner was also excellent. We had the two course menu, quality food at a reasonable price. I...More

Popped up for an early evening cocktail and was not disappointed. Decor is amazing and if you go early to catch happy hour very cheap! Did try and visit for tapas on the Sunday but was closed.

We took the 3 course menu (1040 dalasis ) and it started with the soufflé. This was not a soufflé but a unstructured clumb of material of cheese and unions in a opaque liquid mass. Taste was kindda OK, but it was definitely not a...More

Gaya is undoubtedly my favorite restaurant in The Gambia. The decor and atmosphere is exquisite and the food and service exemplary. You won’t find a better place to have a meal and a great time.

For the area something you do not expect to find. Stuck between Britannia and Time Inn night clubs and set back a bit. A very querky interior of bits of artworks and furniture gathered together but not unatrtactive. Best description tapas, soft drinks and cocktails.

Turn right at the top of the Senegambia strip. 50 meters on the right after the craft market. Can't miss it, beautiful trees with large lamps hanging in them at the front and you will see the sign.
