The place is absolutely perfect to enjoy a much needed leisure lunch when one is too busy devouring delicious crab curry. The food portions are large for two person and well season with rich spice mix. The heat from the spices warms you up slowly...More

Best place to eat seafood in Fort Cochin. Locals recommend this place because its affordable and offers a nice location of the harbor with seating right on the water. Staff is friendly and professional.

A cool place to be with friends and family. The menu is so tempting and the food served is always cherishable. My memory goes years back when I went there for the first time with my clan. And that day's "Maachaan pollichathu" (Black Pomfret grilled...More

The usp of this restaurant is definitely the location and the availability of alcohol. The Kerala crab curry and calamari masala we ordered were a little disappointing, so not a big fan of the cooking you could say!

The best feature of this restaurant is its' location, with a large verandah directly overlooking the harbour, from which we enjoyed an amazing sunset. The restaurant itself is maybe a little shabby but it has a nice atmosphere. Food was very tasty and reasonably priced...More

Lovely location overlooking the river with a large outside area. Happy to serve just beer, or full restaurant. They also have an airconditioned bar inside (hard to find you will need to ask!) if the heat gets too much to bear. Food is varied and...More

Having read reviews we had high hopes. We have just spent five weeks in Kerala and I can honestly say this was the blandest meal we have had. Service was just OK, nothing special and all the food tasted of nothing really. And I hasten...More

As you sit by the shore, listening to the sound of little waves, watching the quiet reflections on the water on a moonlit night, sipping your favorite drink, you will never think of leaving this place. Seagull is not just a building, which provides you food and drink, but this is a place which gives you a complete dining experience. The hotel stands is a gracious landmark of the city, showcasing contemporary Indian influences along with the country's colonial past. The Hotel Seagull, which we see today, was the brain child of sri V S Krishnan, who was a musician cum businessman. This Hotel was once a residence-cum-furniture maintenance workshop of a French-rosewood exporter named C J Revel, whose business, house and factories were based at Thalaserry. The main structure of this Hotel was a simple residence and the adjacent extensions were remodeling and repairing workshops. Later, krishnan modified this simple residence cum workshop into a magnificient property named "The Hotel Seagull" in 1980. Every corridor and modification of this hotel has a history to say and a story to tell. Travelers with a yen for history and heritage will find Seagull and Fort Kochi engrossing. Over the years, the building stood as a silent witness to the passage of time and the creation of history. The Portuguese, the Dutch, French and the British came and went. The country freed itself and embraced democracy and the ownership of this grand edifice changed hands. Today, it has become a favorite haunt of foreigners. We have taken every care to present you the rich traditions of a bye gone era along with the taste of local flavors.
