Just visited today. Good place with good food and service. Lacking in ambience but it has authentic south Indian food which seems to be seriously lacking in thekkady, with most restaurants catering to North Indians and westerners primarily, most of which seem to offer bland or over priced food.

We had a whale of a time enjoying the authentic South Indian fare (it doesn't get any better, although because it is so authentic and with very economical prices, it attracts huge crowds of local travellers as well) in their simple surroundings. Bear in mind - The FOOD is the highlight here, and not the furniture or surroundings or the... More

This is a good decent place for having grub especially in the morning that too typical south Indian break fast and not Kerala break fast. Price are very less. Food quality is good. Service is ok.

The service was good but the menu is pricier for the quality & taste they offer. But since my parents insisted on sticking to Idly/Dosa we went there.

Food is available at very low price. Very few dishes but worth trying. I loved the place. Due to heavy rush, it takes time to be served.

Having arrived it Kumily, it quickly transpired that it lacks the variety of pure veg places seen in other Indian towns. Having dined at a different place the night before, we felt down as we thought we will be without good food in Kumily. Luckily we noticed this place and it did not disappoint. Food was tasty, hot and well... More

One of the few vegetarian options (especially for breakfast as many pure-veg places are not open for breakfast in Thekkady/Kumily). The food was not that good. The place was not clean. The waiters were also not maintaining cleanliness. Overall, we did not want to go there another time.

Kumily junction has limited options for quick snacks & meals and Hotel Ariya Bhavan is probably the most prefered one for veggies. The snacks were served hot at reasonable prices. Kulfi seems a popular sweet as I saw many having (I didn't try one though). Can't comment on the regular meals as we had only snacks and coffee.

This is a typical south Indian restaurant. We had masala dosa, plain dosa, vada and tea for breakfast. The food was decent. The place is very crowded all the time, because of which the staff can be rude at times. We heard a waiter telling a customer to go out if he does not want to wait with out complaining.
