Good food and family fun . Lot for kids to do before the meal. And music entertainment afterwards. With a comedy skit sometime.

This is one of out go-to places when we have out-of-town visitors. A country meal served by the band in a comfortable open space for a good price. The musicians are very good and the music is well rehearsed and fittin' to the country setting.

Fun place, especially for children as they can ride a horse, shoot a gun (although extra charge for these activities). Cute shops, great service, fun entertainment-the show was very good-lots of talent! Food was good and plentiful-you can go back for seconds.

It was a lifetime experience to visit the Flying J. Starting with a humorous shootout in the old town. Then to get served a chuck wagon dinner on a tin plate. Then really great music. I would go back!

Tonight we went out to the Flying J Ranch in Alto, NM for the Chuckwagon Supper and Show. It was great. This small old western town has pony rides for the kids, a few shops to shop at before the dinner and show. There was...More

The food was okay-they're extremely efficient! They open doors at 5:30 but show doesn't start until 7:00. If you have small children, then go early so they can get a pony ride. Other than that I wouldn't arrive too early. The people are all very...More

I suggested this as a last minute entertainment option for my 10-year-old daughter and myself. She thought it sounded fun. We absolutely loved it all! The children's activities, the 'shootout', the food, the spice cake and ice cream were her favorites! And of course the...More

A great show and diner before. The kids will enjoy a old time shoot out and pony ride before diner. Set in the mountains and great weather in the Summer.

They do not take reservations. Just call them to see what hours they open and get there early.
Is the restaurant air conditioned?

Response from JacobRoebuck | Property representative |
We are located at an altitude of 7200 feet and we are open in the evening so we don't have a need for air conditioning. In fact most people bring along la light jacket because these mountain evenings can get cool.

For over 30 years, folks have been stepping back into the legendary era of the Great American Cowboy at the Flying J Ranch. We invite you to experience an evening of great chuck wagon cooking and western music much like cowboys would have enjoyed after a long day on the trail. Enjoy the Western Village, complete with gift shops, pony rides for kids, tipi, and even a
gunfight before supper. All this followed up with a fantastic and fun Western Music Stage show featuring the Flying J Wranglers.
