My stay in this resort was perfect. The staff is exceptional, they have such a good attitude and always try to help with everything. The girls are super friendly and sweet, most of them are teenagers and tweens, but they are wise beyond their years and show 5 star hospitality. I was shocked at how reasonably priced the food was at this restaurant, it was cheaper than the local restaurants and extremely delicious. They also had cultural events at the restaurant which is free for the guests. I think these guys are very considerate and customer oriented. I had such a good time. I want to thank Fuji, saudria (I forgot the spelling:( ) and Sudiana. But honestly every single staff member is super nice and professional. I will definitely come back here again! PS: Do try their banana split, it will take you to heaven!

We enjoyed this restaurant last year and decided to re-visit because the overall experience was exceptional. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the kind receptionist named Indry. There was another male staff person on duty as well who smiled and acknowledged us. Mind you, we aren't staying as guests here. Indry escorted us to the dining area. We were then greeted by Ade, who showed us the menu which had the daily special of chicken breast, and their other special with grilled duck. We chose both and it was delicious. Presentation was appealing. Very reasonable price and very nice waitstaff. We are continually impressed with this restaurant for lunch and the employees mentioned. Suksma!

One of a kind place

I loved the experience. This restaurant features lovely rice field view and covered by beautiful Balinese roof. The three waitresses Ari, Erna and Ade are all doing their best to satisfy your needs, especially during breakfast when things need to be brought by request. Highly recommended!

Delicious food-lovely restaurant-excellent service

We highly recommend Kunang-Kunang Restaurant at The Sun of Granary Resort and Villas, we enjoyed having breakfast and dinner there. The restaurant has an amazing view directly to the rice fields. Every night there were different events like Balinese dances and musicians playing traditional music or jazz music. The staff always was very attentive and with a good attitude, they were always smiling. Food was really delicious, and the menu offered good options and variety. I am already missing having dinner there and, in the morning, having this beautiful view while enjoying breakfast.

First couple holiday

Went on out first couple holiday to bali stayed in the resort was blown away with the views. We had multiple meals at there restaurant and was treated with the most beautiful service and food we had Ita serve us for our candle light dinner and she was so understanding and helpful throughout the meal, would definitely recommend for a couple to come and stay. As it was so relaxing and easy to talk to the staff, thank you for making our holiday special. Will be coming back! Thank you

Lunch with a million dollar view

We are frequent visitors to Bali and in particular Ubud for its tranquility and the kind Balinese people we seem to encounter. One of our favorite restaurants we visit for lunch is located at the Sun Granary Villas resort. The restaurant is located upstairs from the lobby/reception area. Therefore, we are forced to walk by the reception desk en route to the restaurant. We were greeted warmly by the staff, a female and male. Their coconut shell name tags were: Indry and Widi. Very alert and friendly staff. Obviously we had no luggage so not guests but we were escorted upstairs by Ms.Indry which was very impressive! We were served by the excellent restaurant staff who were very attentive. Special thanks to Adit, Ita and Urna who served us our delicious food. We ordered the duck special of the month and a pork belly dish. We will return this summer and this restaurant because we feel valued as customers due to the young staff who seem to truly care about delivering a quality service. Thanks to everyone!

We enjoyed 2 dinners at this open restaurant during our one week stay just outside Ubud. The Kunang Kunang restaurant, part of the Sun of Granary resort, is beautifully located in the middle of the rice fields. The restaurant offers both Indonesian/Bali dishes and Western food. We enjoyed the Asian kitchen both times. It's very tasteful, and well presented. All fruit juices are freshly prepared. All staff is very friendly, and speak good English. There is a deck next to the restaurant for having a drink, watching the sunset over the rice fields. The restaurant and bar are open all day. This place comes highly recommended!

Great food with a million dollar view

We decided to visit the restaurant for lunch as it was highly recommended and nearby our villa about 2 miles away. As we made our way to the restaurant we were warmly greeted by the hotel staff, namely Indry. She personally escorted us to the stairs leading up to the restaurant and wished us a great lunch. We were then greeted by Dayu. She was very attentive and service-oriented. The entire wait staff were excellent. We enjoyed the bebek pinjul special and the oxtail with broth and vegetables. In addition we had a banana split and tiramisu for dessert. Quite delicious amidst a great rice paddy view and beautiful bamboo architecture. There was a small basin to wash one's hands at top of the stairs. Restaurant is well maintained and clean. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. High-quality and recommend. On the way out, we were greeted by Indry and the other hotel staff at the reception desk. Warm smiles and hospitality and we aren't even guests. This is impressive and genuine. Unusual to find in the USA!

Brilliant breakfast and Chef Ardhy is the best

We stayed in the Hotel for 5 Nights and each breakfast was outstanding (Great variety, all freshly made)The atmosphere within the rice terrace is an additional Highlight. Furthermore we did the cooking class with Chef Ardhy, an experience we don‘t want to miss and would highly recommend. Ardhy is a very skilled cook, with whom we had the pleasure to go to the local market and cook our own menu. We loved his friendly way and enjoyed the cooking so much with him, it was big fun and we have learned a lot about balinese kitchen. Suksma Ardhy!

Delightful view and delicious food

Food and hospitality with a smile is the norm here. We enjoy the menu selections yet we like to order some past dishes because they are so delicious and reasonably priced. We enjoyed the chicken spring rolls, restaurant specialty duck and the yellow fried rice with pork ribs. Very delicious and we received excellent service from the lovely staff of ladies: Ms.Indry, Ms. Erna and Ms.Widi. It was a privilege to meet the FB manager Mr. Adit as well. Kudos to all the staff at the restaurant. We will be back in 2024!

Delicious food in a lovely environment

We ate very delicious food. The food was beautifully presented and served with a smile. There was always some kind of soft, pleasant music that you could talk to. There was a cooking class, which was a great experience. In the morning we started at the local market, then in the garden of the restaurant we prepared traditional local dishes with the head chef.

Best Resort Experience in Ubud

This hotel is a great option for anyone looking for a clean and friendly place to stay. The food from the restaurant is absolutely delicious and would highly recommend there breakfast options as it is one of the best food choices in Bali by far. Overall, the staff is really kind and considerate of how you are feeling the whole time while you are here. Highly recommend this hotel for the next time you are here in Ubud, Bali.

A night at Kunang Kunang Restaurant. Good choice for dinner.

This restaurant is located inside The Sun Heaven Hotel. We come on Saturday, at our 2nd night stays. Ordered pumpkin soup, mixed veggies/capcay and nasi goreng siobak. Served nicely, flavour is good, and the portion is good for me and my sister. There is a live music by the local singer accompanies our dinner. Staffs are welcome, greet us with full of smiles. The place is full with bamboo tone and warm lighting. Outdoor and you can feel the breeze. Good choice for dinner, rather than move outside the hotel..

Lovely restaurant

This place has a wonderful atmosphere with lots of greenery and very friendly staff. You can have a Balinese or western included breakfast with a rice paddy view at their Kunang Kunang restaurant. They also feature cocktails which have a local Balinese spirit called ‘Arak’ which is something to try. We were able to see a traditional Balinese dance on one of the nights here which was very special and captivating.

The Balinese experience!

Wow truly an amazing, unforgettable experience filled with much activies and amazing staff. Everyone was very welcoming but mostly Made showed us great hospitality and quality service. The night we arrived had great live music for dinner, Mary Lynn and her husband were very interactive and really set a great ambiance. Before lunch the next day Kedek then taught us the Balinese dancing and was so patient throughout always with a smile. The same evening there was live Balinese dancers accompanied by a three courses menu authentic diner which was truly unforgettable. Thank You all
