My friends and I went to work and chill and the staffs from the beginning of our visit was very helpful and nice. We ordered drinks (juices and latte) and it was very tasteful. The menu’s was relatively cheap for a high quality of food, service, and place. Would definitely go back

There is a wide variety of food and drinks at Melali Ubud, both Asian and Western. They are definitely tasty, healhty and use high quality and fresh ingredients. The portion of the food is usually enough for me, not too big and not too small. It's a good thing because I will have enough space in my stomach for all the other yummy foods on the menu!! I can't wait to try everything. I love all the fresh fruit and veg juices. You can request no ice no sugar. Love the healthy breakfast smoothie bowls and chia pudding. The chicken satay has crunchy caramelized onions and bell peppers, comes with rice and sambal matah. Yummmieh. The ambiance is superb, it's like your own exclusive cavern fusion of Mediterranean meets modern Balinese resort. Totally new and vibing. Warm and super cozy and comfy but also elegant and chic at the same time. You can spend hours here alone or with friends. There's just so much beauty and lush nature to appreciate. This is a total brand new gem and I love it here! I kind of don't want to share this gem with everyone but if you actually came, lived and dined here, you've found the exclusive serendipity in Ubud at such an amazing price. Love it here. 😍🍝🥗🍹🌴

I was invited by a friend and fell in love. Literally came for an hour and stayed for a day:) delicious food - breakfast, main, deserts; yummy and refreshing cocktails (told you - stayed till after the sunset). The people here are very helpful and friendly. I love the vibe of the place and the quality is soothing and pleasing.

You are guaranteed to be disappointed at this pretentious little dive. Don’t let the pretty menu fool you. The food is bland and served in tiny portions that will leave you still hungry. And the so-called main courses are even smaller than the appetizers. How does that make sense. They are also not keen to address any problems or complaints. They have forgotten they are not just in the food biz: they are also in the customer satisfaction business, and at this they don’t even try. So many better options out there.

Incredibly rude chef destroyed the experience. The dish did not include what was pictured in the menu and the portions for a so-called main course were absurdly small. Instead of simply making it right, the chef could be heard screaming from the kitchen insulting us, not realizing we understood every word. Disgusting and so unnecessary. Also the drinks look cute in the menu but have almost zero alcohol in them. There are so many great places in Ubud, so there is absolutely no reason to visit this inconveniently located place.

So the food was really good but not enough local dishes. In my personal opinion the restaurant is trying to be up market in a poor area with a lack of local options. We went there tonight and ordered our main course the restaurant said shuts at 10pm I asked for the dessert menu and was told we shutting soon I pointed out that there was still 25mins before closing and was then told I could have a creme brulee but that's all, it was very good but if you want to shut sharp at 10pm stop people from ordering after 9pm be clear about the rules, one guy ordered a while after us and got his main course with his starter, what can you say.

regarding the last order time and mis understanding during your dinner time please allow me to clarify it , the food that served to other guest that you saw it have been ready and finished to cooked before you made dessert order , that guest told our team to kept it cause he waiting his girl friend at front the hotel and that food been keep at our bar station and served also from the bar not from our kitchen station .
if you tell us this misunderstanding while you at our restaurant ofcourse we will explaint this cronology .
one again we do appologize for this issue and hope to see you again in the future in better service .

This place was amazing, warm service great food. My fav dish creamy Mushroom Pasta with truffle oil its Big Portion for only 55k what an amazing Good price. I will definetly make this place as the best place in UBUD. CHEERS TO Dewi and all sweets team !!!

It was our third night in Ubud and we had meals across all types of places. Out of all the places we’ve been to, this was the highest rated and our WORST experience in Ubud.
We had just finished up at Kaveri Spa around 6:15PM and was looking for a place to eat dinner. We walked in without a reservation around 6:30PM on a Monday.
Service was very slow. Luckily we ordered an appetizer to hold us over but it took nearly an hour for us to get our entrees after we put in our order. I was falling asleep waiting.
We can understand when restaurants are understaffed or something is happening as long as the food turns out great, but it was a huge disappointment.
Flatbread that was holding all the toppings was limp - it didn’t have a lot of structure. Ordered Steak Frites as medium rare, and it came out closer to medium well. We thought there was some miscommunication on our side considering the language barrier, and we waited so long that we didn’t want to send it back and wait longer. Imagine our disappointment when the bill read “medium rare” upon closing out. We also ordered the octopus and it was on the drier side.
I will say the drinks were pretty good and helped with the wait. Had the Burnt Peach & Festive Gingerbread.
However, compared to other spots in terms of food, drinks, and service —- you may be better off elsewhere.
I really wanted to like this place given its high rating and it consistently showing up on a few “top places to eat in Ubud” blog posts. I usually don’t write reviews but my golly my husband and I were so disappointed that we were still talking about it the next morning.

We started with the mezze platter at 75,000 and hummus and falafel at 65,000 to share and had katsu curry at 68,000 ,nanas colada at 85,000 and steak fries at 115,000 as mains. All the food was very well presented and Instagram worthy for those who partake. All was delicious too. Finished with creme brulee and choco waffles. We also had 2 soft drinks,2 wine and 4 beers all for 1.323. 650 About £60 sterling. Service was good and staff polite and toilets very clean. Highly recommended

I stayed 1 month in Ubud, and this place was the most visited, sometimes up to 3 times a day. Everything here is just perfect: the vibe, music, the amazing food and staff will make you feel like the best treated person on the planet. Ary is the sweetest person i have met in this industry, and Asmara a man with the biggest heart, full of life and jokes on point. If you happen to be in Ubud, this is a must on the list, you will not feel this kind of euphoria in this life ever, not kidding. Thanks to everyone here for bringing this place to life and to the rest of you, happy binging! ❤️😁
PS: Avocado pesto is something out if this planet. 🥹

We stayed at Dinara Ubud right beside the restaurant so had the pleasure of having our daily breakfast there, as well as trying out many of the items on the menu for lunch and dinner :) Food was delicious and of high quality and service was really really good. One thing I highly appreciate was getting a call in our room bec we were about to miss breakfast (we overslept) and the staff were so accommodating to take our order by phone and provide us with room service. That is service excellence going beyond what’s expected ♥️
For the food, we especially loved the Coconut Chia Pudding, Fruit Salad, Avicado Pesto, Crispy Chicken Tacos, Creamy Mushroom & Truffle Oil Pasta, Spicy Aglio E Ollo Pasta, Ayam Bakar Padang Grilled Chicken and Nasi Goreng Classic.

My partner and I found this cosy restaurant on Google, as it was too busy for our liking in Ubud Centre. Customer service was very professional and attentive, and the food was very tasty and beautifully presented. The prices are very affordable. We made it just in time for cocktails happy hour, which was definitely a bonus. Definitely recommend this wonderful place for any time of the day!!

About a 5 minute walk from the Santara Suites is a delightful restaurant called Melalia. It seems to specialise in cocktails and has some on a happy hour menu. We had green fish curry and it came as per our order in a hot and not so hot version. It was beautifully fresh and very tasty with large chunks of fish and a delicious broth. Service was excellent and attentive. Highly recommend this little treasure

I’ve had the pleasure of staying at the hotel, where the restaurant is located, for a whole month and that means I use Melali restaurant a lot.
I absolutely love the chilled atmosphere whilst sitting amongst the beautiful decor. The food and drink is great compliment to the ambiance. Try the incredible cocktails!
Another great strength of this sweet place is the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. They make you feel very comfortable and they are warm and engaging.

An excellent selection of food and drink available here. The interior is welcoming and cosy, the staff very friendly and whilst we mainly kept to pasta dishes, we found all of them very tasty. Shoutout for the pavlova at the end which was to die for! Highly recommend this restaurant!
