This place is incredible. The Amazing Oxtail Stew was the Best ever and a nice rich, hearty treat. Would definitely come again.

We found the food good, the surrounds pleasant and the staff friendly. I had the beef rendang, and my vegetarian partner the gado gado, both of which were excellent. As we enjoyed so much we went back a second time.

This place has lovely attentive staff and there's lots of cool lighting and ornaments to look at while you wait for your food because it's also a gift shop. The food is fresh and yummy. We are here twice. Tonight I thought my gado gado was a bit too sweet but it was still nice and all of our other... More

Our first night in Ubud and this was a great little find. Friendly staff and excellent inexpensive food. The beef rendang is to die for. Well recommended.

Excellent restaurant! We were looking for a dinner place in the neighbourhood and this place caught our eyes. Initially seemed high end but the Bintang-scale had them on the affordable scale. They had tasters for passers by (who actually does that?) and the idea was great. The signature dish was amazing! We decided to try the place and it was... More

We really loved this place. It is really gorgeous inside and out and most importantly the food is fabulous. Everything we tried was delicious but the rendang should not be missed!! The staff were very lovely also.

We ordered beef and jackfruit rendang, satay and gado gado - all fantastic! The veggie rendang was the best I ever tasted - I couldn't forget the texture, colour, taste of this jackfruit dish for days... I find the interior quite tacky but nonetheless this restaurant has a distinct vibe, and service excellent. Fully recommended for delicious Javanese food.

We had a lovely evening of tasty food, relaxing music and great atmosphere. They had run out of a lot of options on the menu but the ones we tried were tasty - highly recommend their satay sauce!

Returned to Bernadette's on this year's holiday, once for takeaway as husband sick, then when better we went there for dinner with a friend who had lived in Jakarta for decades. She was thrilled at the authentic Javanese dishes on the menu and thought the ones she ordered delicious. We all enjoyed our meals though my hushand and I were... More
