This was an amazing meal, we got the seafood platter for 2 and it was enough food for 4 or 5, with all the salads and dips. The calamari was cooked to perfection not rubber and chewy, it was all delicious.

If you don't care about the food but you are looking at a good place where to seat and eat fast food without taste then choose this restaurant. I took the eggplant with tahini, and the only thing that i will remember was the fluorescent color of the oil!

To start, and as part of the meal, you get salads and a range of dips and spices. Mind blowing. All fresh and delicious. If you're still hungry, you can eat the main course you ordered - fish, shrimp, meat and other delicacies. The fish platter for 2 is a substantial meal - particularly after the amazing starters. And there's... More

Sitting outside overlooking the boats in the Yaffa port is nice in itself, being seated and getting around 20 small salads and side dishes as well as refreshing lemonade served within a minute is another thing. Really great experience, service very efficient but a bit grumbly, therefore not 5 stars for me. The fish, though, a grilled Labrak was also... More

If you want to sample Middle East starters then here you will get 21 together with pitta and that's a lot for two people especially when it is all included with the cost of your main course. You will not leave there hungry. The service is rapid and efficient but this is a restaurant with a largely tourist clientele.

its a fabulous setting overlooking the boats in Jaffa port... and the chance to watch the sun set in the evening too. We sat outside. They come with 20 small dishes of sides... from salads to dips, as well as bread and a jug of lemonade. This is all included in the menu price. We chose the calamaris... and I... More

Friend of ours lives in Tel Aviv and took us out tonight to what he calls "the best fish resturaunt around". Being huge fish eaters (sounds weird) and from new york we didn't go in with any big expectations. Now that I gave you some background , I will tell you. Absolutely INCREDIBLE , everything , from the salads that... More

After walking along the shore of Tel Aviv for a while we arrived in Old Jaffa Port. We were thirsty and hungry and stumbeld upon this nice restaurant. We saw some tables full of dishes with different salads and dips and decided to sit down for lunch. Without really ordering anything we were served with lemonade (delish!) and 20 bowls... More

Description
Ernest Hemingway's 1952 novel The Old Man and the Sea depicts the world of a poor Cuban fisherman who fights the wild sea. These elements of sea, fish and noble nature have also inspired the establishment of the well-known restaurant on Jaffa's Kedem Street - The Old Man and the Sea.
