Anse Soleil is a gorgeous location and could really be something. We expected better -- fresher -- quality food, but we came for the sunset and the atmosphere. Some posters have complained about the host, but he was kind to us.

The very best creol curry we ate on Mahé! Wonderful beach, a bit tricky to get to the restaurant! May be not open in the evening.

This is not a restaurant but an inhospitable and dirty looking cafeteria called 'Chez Julien'. There is nothing friendly about it. As my husband was turning the car round to park higher up from the restaurant a peculiar man started shouting at us so I replied that I was never coming to the Seychelles again. This seemed to quieten him... More

This is the best and cheapest restaurant you can eat in Seychelles. You will eat your money's worth, great view. i have been to this restaurant many times and you have to wait to be seated and you don't get to choose your own seat like every other restaurant, i know some people call the owner a mad man or crazy,... If there is one thing you can say about Mahé is that the people are extremely friendly and you are treated as a guest rather than a tourist. However, the owner of this restaurant is the only exception I ever met in Mahé in my 7 visits to Seychelles. He was extremely rude, up to the point that you would... More

The owner, Julien, is mentally unwell and hates people - rather don't go, it will ruin your holiday. Don't think you will leave there unscathed; we have eaten there many times in past years with no problems, however, this year we were subjected to his wrath and loathing (just for asking what time he closes so that we would not... Staying in mahe only for 3 months, I already have complete picture about people and service here. But the worst experience happened to me in anse soleil restaurand .Me with group of friends were planning to have lunch there . Once we parked the car , old lady came out from the restaurant and said " hey , you can... More

Having spent 3 years in the Seychelles, I believe I have a certain opinion of the place. The nemesis of the beauty of the Seychelles is its people! Generally extremely rude and unhelpful, very expensive. It is perhaps the most unpleasant island I have ever visited. Having said that, let talk about Julien. I went to Anse Soleil in 1999... More

After reading all the reviews i decided to go just to verify the facts regarding the owner. Unfortunately he wasn't around when we went. Its located right on the beach but I found it expensive. We just had a drink and left.

A friend warned me not to go there but I thought how bad can it be. Having travelled all over the world I can safely say that the person I dealt with there is the rudest restaurant worker I have ever experienced.
