Very nice staff of the establishment. They suggested, recommended, advised everything. The ordered dish also came with a small flambéing fire show. The restaurant is located on the top floor with a superb view. The musical accompaniment is exclusively calm piano music.

From arrival to departure this hotel and its owner and staff were absolutely wonderful. The meals were served in a lovely rooftop restaurant with fabulous views over Galle. The rooms, whilst quite small were comfortable and clean. The air conditioning was also very good. After quite a bit of travelling around Sri Lanka, we rested here around the pool for a few memorable days. The hotel is also situated within easy walking distance to the Fort. Thank you Ladyhill Hotel for a wonderful experience

Very nice location in Galle. Amazing view, especially from the restaurant. Very quiet, but walking distance to the busy city an the fort. Food from the grill was great and good value!

We had dinner a la Carte and the breakfast buffet in the morning. It was ok. There was fresh orange juice, but the eggs were cold

We used Ladyhill last week as were hosting a wedding down the road. The staff were great and supportive and the views and rooms were really nice. All our guests staying there loved it.

This is the most amazing restaurant! The view of Galle is unbelievable as the restaurant is situated at the top of a hotel which is at the top of a hill. This gives it about 300 degree views. The food is excellent, the staff superb. All in all a must have experience for travellers to Galle. Outstanding!

We enjoyed this restaurant for breakfast and dinner and we were happy to find a good quality of food including some local menus (rice and curry). Wine, beer and fresh squizzed fruit juice were quite refreshing. The restaurant is located at the top of the old colonial villa and has the best view (on top of the hill). Staff was friendly and attentive. We loved the terrace of the restaurant: the roof provides enough protection from the sun, allows natural ventilation from three sides (no walls) and is provided with fans as well to boost ventilation in case of very hot days.

Food was 7/10 and service the same. Wonderful views of Galle.
It’s not AC but fans work and the elevation should catch any breeze.

We were staying in Viall Upper Dickson, just down the hill from this hotel so thought we would try Ladyhill Restaurant whilst staying in Galle. The views from the restaurant over Galle are awesome (although I have been advised that it isn't great for a sunset view).
We decided to have Steaks for our meal (as we had been on a mainly vegetarian diet for the previous 2 weeks). The steaks were beautiful, well cooked and presented and well worth the money.
Service was a little slow, there were a couple of times we tried to get a waiters attention but they were busy chatting and not paying attention to their customers (even though it was quiet).
The lighting was a little too dark, I could hardly see what was on my plate (although I did manage to eat it all and I can definitely confirm it was a steak)
As I was paying by credit card I had to go down to reception to pay as they have no card machine in the restaurant, you can pay by cash in the restaurant however. It would be nice to have the card payment facility in the restaurant.

In the evening:
Badly lit restaurant, with heavy furniture that can be heard through the hotel when you move a chair. The telephone which sits on the bar does not stop ringing (loudly) and disturbs the dining experience. The coffee should be filtered but you end up with a cup fill of dregs. The lift does not take you all the way to the dining room so you have to climb stairs as well. Service is slow.
In the morning:
Breakfast is good with a limited choice.

The positive of this place is the view. However, that's where the positive ends. There were only a few bottles of bottled beer and two bottles of wine in total in the whole of the bar when we stayed. The food we were offered was a small set menu so you would think they would be able to cook the small choice on offer reasonably well - not so. Would I recommend this place - well, go on up to the restaurant and have a quick look at the great view..... and then go and eat somewhere else!

We walked up to the Ladyhill Restaurant from our Villa down the road. The service was excellent, the food was good, and the atmosphere and view were spectacular! They don't have an elevator, so you must walk up 4 levels to get to the rooftop. Not so bad considering the reward at the top. They do serve wine although it's not on the drink menu. They have a good selection of menu items at a reasonable price. We had an appetizer, two meals and two glasses of wine for about 4500LKR ($30)
I had the seafood fried noodles and my husband had the Deviled cuttlefish. Both had great flavour and generous portions. Definitely worth a try!
