Went there last night in the recommendation of a friend. I don't eat Indian a lot, but I was impressed The food was delicious. Service was very good as well. It was about 1000nt for two people and we got a lot of food. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Not the best or authentic Indian food, but still very decent. It was possibly one of the very first Indian restaurants in town. It used to be in downtown. I went there first good 10+ years back. Nothing has changed. Except that the girl who serves has grown up. Not sure what is the Indian connection of the owners. If... More

While spending time in Taiwan you may want a change of food. If you happen to be in Hsinchu, and need a little spice. Then head over to The Spice Shop. Great food, and the owners are very accommodating when needed. The food is a fusion of India, and Taiwan with levels of spicy to choose from. Enjoy! ExploreTraveler

Spicy food. A rather impolite lady waiter. Became very noisy environment when behind customers, a table should be cleaned and prepared for new ones. Not visiting again !

Reasonably good food, but both waitresses were rude and impatient. Also, the wait times are pretty ridiculous.

Accidentally walked by at this restaurant during its non-business hours. Came back to check out the food and service. The service staff is very watchful, taking your order very quickly and the waiting time for the ordered food is extremely short. I chose a very spicy meal (labeled with 3 chillis). The cook personally brought me the food and asked... More

Good Yellow Dal and rotis. Non veg is average. Service is Ok Ok. But getting Indian food in Hsinchu itself is beyond words.

Tasty dishes, and nice decor. Good service. Street parking is much easier than most places in Taiwan because restaurant is on a large street with little traffic. Suggest the beef vindaloo, if you like a lot of heat. It is very good, although sometimes the beef is too tough. Mango lassi is good, as well as many kinds of naan,... More

The first time I visited, I was a little disappointed as it wasn't the same as I was used to in the UK, but I have since become a regular visitor. Its different, but its nice. Good food and good flavours - possibly the best restaurant in Hsinchu. Prices are very reasonable, and staff are friendly and speak good English.
