The Impala Hotel offered many food options during our stay in Arusha. The Indian restaurant is delicious - especially the chili chicken - although it takes awhile as every dish is prepared once ordered. The Chinese restaurant was good too, offering a lot of apps, soups, noodles, and various mains. The continental restaurant is open all day and night and... More

I was here during end of November 2015 and gone with my friend for lunch , it was quite busy during lunch time had to wait for more than half hour to get seated , The waiting was worth it because to food was too good , loved the Kebabs & and Chicken makhani. will definately visit again soon .

Security at the hotel is good. Rooms are big and clean enough. Be ready for a mosquito or two and an exotic insect if your luck is good. Take antimalarial prophylaxis without fail. This anyway should be taken in Africa. Staff are good. You get the odd one though who acts funny. But just one. A single room comes for... More

We tried the Continental restaurant on a Sunday night. It was pretty quiet and the kitchen looked out of action. However the food was ok but not brilliant. We had a combination of Kuku Paka, Veg curry and a Veef and green banana stew. All were good but not exceptional. Will probably try the Indian restaurant next time. This was... More

We ordered a variety of dishes. The quality and taste was excellent in both the starters and main meals. The choice of beer was also very good. Highly recommended.

We ate here three times. The lamb was not impressive, just OK, but the chicken curries and everything vegetarian we tried was really good.

We had been told that this hotel-restaurant had wonderful Indian Food. I had our hotel owner-manager make a reservation for 11 people. This was planned as a thank you for our training staff on our last night together. We arrived at the hotel and they at first could not find our reservation. This is not a busy season in Arusha.... Stayed here for two nights in October. The hotel was a little shabby but nothing a good clean and a lick of paint wouldn't sort out. Nice swimming pool, onsite spa and great food. Rooms had good mosquito nets.

Consistently exceptional food. masterfully prepared indian food. possibly the best indian food outside of india. they've retained the old traditions and practices of freshly made curry bases and the freshest ingredients from Arusha. it's a must try for any traveller. exceptional.

Wonderful setting, fabulous food and cold drinks. I highly recommend #62, crispy fish and the naan. Spices adjusted as you request. Two times for dinner and the best food the entire trip. We returned with a larger group the second time and the restaurant handled easily. There are Indian & Chinese menus. We were so pleased with Indian that we... More
