Wanted to have some good local Thai food and was recommended this restaurant by our hotel staff. Short walk from our hotel Le Patta and the food was great. Mainly locals eating there and very good quality and value for money. Around 800 THB for 3 including seafood and drinks. Great find.

Went there last night, since we passed by when strolling g the massive Saturday night market. The restaurant was quite packed mostly with thai or Asien tourists, the menu is in english with pictures bit promises more than you actually get. Service was quite slow, when the food arrived half of it was cold the other half very blunt and... More

It would be nice to say more about the food, but the starter which we ordered (a mixed platter of northern delicacies) didn't arrive - completely forgotten. The first dish to arrive was a kaeng hangle, which is supposed to be a thick, rich curry. What was served was thin and watery, and stone cold. The belly pork in it... More

Located on the Saturday Walking Street, a lot of tourists visit this restaurant. Most of the staff can't speak English but they got an English menu. Food is quite authentic but might be too spicy for tourists. We ordered the Northern Thai platter with two types of sausages. One of them were really heavily flavorful. Fried pork with basil was... The food we had here was somewhat mixed. The Northern Thai sausage we had as a starter was good, but neither of our main courses were anything special (indeed there was something horribly bitter in my duck in red curry, which was definitely not right). Also the cost of the meal was we thought quite high by Chiang Rai standards.... More

Traditional northern Thai food, this is one of the best in Chiang Rai, like most of Chiang Rai, take bug repellent as the whole Chiang Rai area has a lot of standing water so many mosquitos etc. Food and service was very good, they have an English menu and Thai menu, ask for both as the Thai menu has more... Waited 30 minutes for this place to open. Asked if they did khao soi and the waitress said yes so I asked for that. She asked if I wanted chicken with it so I said yes. 5 minutes later I got some rice? Then after waiting 30 minutes I asked where my khao soi was. Another waitress said they didn't... More

The food was very good with a selection of Northern Thai dishes. It was very busy with Thai people and groups, we were lucky to be seated straight away. People who arrived after us has to queue and wait. Food came out fast and young staff were very attentive and very friendly.

We ate here and found the food delicious. The place is quite popular and there were a large group of people there who seemed to be from a tour. Nevertheless we were served in a reasonable amount of time and all the dishes we tried were very good. The food is typical of northern Thailand with a number of dishes... More
