Salungkham Cuisine or Northern Thai cuisine is not for everyone even for Thai. I for one had to learn to like the taste after several attempts. However for people who enjoy Northern cuisine, the place had the whole menu filled with various different dishes. The dishes at this restaurant are quite big therefore it was difficult to order for small... More

The food is not as good as a price. Average taste, can be found on normal local restuarants with cheaper price. The place wasn't decorated much, a bit dirty especially toilet. Im sorry but I wont come back again.

Loved the fish served in Northern style curry called Tom Sab Pla Kang. This is a local river fish and was served in a curry form. This tasted superb a little sour. The other dish I tried was Chicken Curry which is called Keng Oom Gai. This was in red brown curry and tasted quite good too. The other dish... More

There is a big difference between Thai and Northern Cuisine. The first clue is all the local Thai's eating here. The second clue is they don't speak very good English. If you want a true Northern Thai Cuisine experience, almost a secret place where the locals go then this is it. We went twice and loved it! Just a word... More

We had lunch here - just walked past and found it. Good food (not outstanding but that might be our choices) - fast service; nice outdoor seating area and the BBQ looked great but we coulnt figure out how to order any of it. Not a great deal of English spoken.

This is a very busy restaurant! Loads of local should incite you to go but in Thailand, locals eat everywhere. The food is good to very good and typical northern. The staff was very young but good attentive. Only downside is they wouldn't let us pay by credit card for less than 700 baht (our bill was 695)...

Ate here twice during my 5 night stay in Chiang Rai on the recommendation of my hotel (The Legend). First time on October 29, 2013 and it was AMAZING! Started w/ the Northern Thai style spare ribs and had the medium hot Green Curry for my main entree. Flavors were excellent & medium hot was just at the edge of... More

The meal was delicious, the staff was friendly and helpful and it was a great evening. We wanted to sit in the garden, but the rain forced us inside. There was a very large number of choices to pick from and all were great. The frog legs were finger lickin' good!

This place was highly recommended by most gastonome and local chiangrai. Typical northern architectural building & decor. Food taste good, service was fast & attentive and furthermore, not too hot for tourist. give thumb up..

Large choice of entrees and nice bar-b-que. A good choice of wine by the bottle plus mixed drinks. Nice size portions
