Most was good , although this was a difficult time of year : Ramadan .But do not try the goose! Go for the manti , the various meat dishes and the delicious daily soups

Chief has some special receipts which are really delicious. You should try one of his desserts. Especially "muhallebili kadayıf) Prices are fair enough. With 7-8 euros you can full yourself. Service is good.

If you want to eat international food in Kars you are in the perfect place. The restaurant offers a wide variety of food from beef stragonoff to plain steak to entrees. Prices are reasonable and in the winter season you can have the local goose. A must try in the Kars region. It is also good for dates.

We have been to this restaurant twice during a weekend stay in Kars. They offer both local food and other typical meals like pasta, kebab, salads etc. I tasted Turkish ravioli, Fettuccine Alfredo and salad. All were superb! No need to look for other options in the city!

I stayed at Hotel Cheltikov and was advised to eat at Kamer some 10/15 minutes away on foot. Very young people run it and they are friendly. Note no alcohol. I ate the roast vegetables with salad and yogurt first night, and fried breadcrumbed chicken the second. The last night was a Saturday and all the streets near Kamer were... More

We visited Kars a few weeks ago prior to a hike in the Kackar mountains. We really enjoyed our meal at Kamer. As vegetarians in Turkey it is sometimes difficult to avoid meat even in their vegetable based dishes but we had the grilled vegetables (and shepherd's salad etc) and everything was fresh and delicious. We liked the ambiance both... More

I can't quite see how Kamer got such glowing reviews... but, the truth is, it is a decent place with good food... not to mention the English description of the menu items. The only thing lacking was the decor.

We had a superb meal here at this restaurant of chicken, salad, soup and bread for a very reasonable price. The restaurant was clean and welcoming and thine service was excellent. Great to have a change of menu from the usual kebabs. Would eat here again.

Having had a number of indifferent meals in eastern Turkey, this was a real delight. The food was simple but delicious and very fresh and the service was friendly and swift. The seating has a full view of the kitchen. If I lived in Kars, I would be here every day.
