Tirit is a local dish made with the meat of sheep, lamb or cow, stale bread, yoghurt, and some greens. This restaurant is said to be one of the best in preparing this dish. Also, they serve a local dessert made from rice, saffron and other ingredients which I forgot the names of :) Tirit is too greasy for my... More

If you ask anyone in Konya where to find the best Tirit everyone will point you in this direction. It is located near Mevlana but not on a main street - in a back street. Everyone will know where to find it so no worries there. This is the food Konya is famous for so you may as well eat... More

The restaurant was very close to our hotel but it really was a great choice. There is only one dish, which makes it easy to order. The portion was really good and a definite must-try for every visitor in konya.

Great lunch here. Very filling and tasty. They only serve one thing but they do it well. Sit outside if you can and enjoy the quiet street.

They serve only Tirit as main course and Zerde as desert. The drink options are limited to coke, fanta and sprite NO AYRAN! The only good thing is Tirit was made good.

Tirit is very tasty dish, it is big and you should come really hungry! For me personally it was the first restaurant which serves just one dish, which is tirit and one desert - zerde! Tried both and liked it! We came around 4pm it was crowded and we needed to wait.

Mithat Tirit hasn't changed its quality for years. I don't know their secret if it is their meat , bread or yoghurt or all. Although it is always very crowded they keep the service best and hospitality the same.

Mithat Usta has protected his genuine, unique technique throughout all those years. He is a real expert on this special dish "Tirit". You better visit the restaurant before 16:00 in order to eat something. The traditional desert "Zerde" is also strongly advised.
