I can only advise to avoid this place. We tried food there only because it had some Trip Advisor recommendation in the past but it was a big disappointment. During a week we stayed in Hoi An we tried various restaurants and street food and it was always very good. The except of the Sun Shine restaurant: their 'white rose'... More

We had the grilled pork, curried chicken and pork in banana leaf. All were excellent and well seasoned. Especially glad there was no over-doing on the ginger front as many other locals places seem to do. Will gladly return again

After reading the reviews, I was keen to check out this little restaurant. I am really glad I did - the food was delicious, the family treated me like royalty, Micky the dog graced me with his presence and the schooners of ice-cold beer at 3000VND (around $A0.15) were superb. Forget the Lonely Planet-recommended place across the road - try... More

Went here for dinner after the glowing reviews. Yes, it is cheap but the service is very slow and the food is really nothing special. I wouldn't bother going out of yhe way to seek this place out.

As with most places now the menus are not very different but this place is better than many of the others. The prices are most reasonable and down right cheap in comparison to the rest of Hoi An. Beer at 3000 dong. There are not many better for this price locally with this level of service.

The fresh beers were cheap, food was ok. We ordered white rose, pho bo and pho ga. Noodles came first after about half an hour then 20 mins later the white rose came. The waitress was very nice and price is cheap. But I thought the pho was lacking vegetables which normally come with the bowl of noodles but not... More

Sunshine Restaurant is situated on a narrow, quiet street just 5 min away from Hoi An Old Town centre. We went there twice and would have gone back if stayed in the city a little bit longer. The restaurant is on the front porch of a family home, it does feel like you're their guest. We were served by a... More

Reviews were right on the mark. Excellent food, authentic Vietnamese, and a great price. Definitely get the fried Wontons. I had the sweet and sour chicken and it was fantastic. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I have never felt the urge to review a restaurant before but I had such great food at this lovely little place that I felt the need to tell everyone. Myself and my boyfriend decided to sample a few different dishes and we weren't disappointed. The food was fantastic. Hoi, the owner and be Chef came to speak to us... More

Paid 124.000 VND and had the white roses, pork with ginger and garlic, rice and the papaya salad... Washed down with a beer and large water. Sublime value for wonderful home cooked food. The waitress informed me it was cooked by her dad! Lovely family run operation... Shame it wasn't a bit fuller, although we had battled there through the... More
