It is quite pricey...not comparing to the picture in the menu, but to the actual size of the food we were served, specifically for the seafood bowl (Don). We ordered two different kind of seafood bowl and the picture in menu looks delicious (and size...looks great) but when it came we were totally disappointed. The sashimi was average, portion was small and I don't think we will visit it again.More

Came to this place because it was in the Narita Airport on the day of our last visit before our flight. We took a chance based on the not so great reviews which was pretty much spot on. We were seated at the bar and...it took a while before the lady gave us menus and when she did, we were expected to place our order right away? The place was not busy at all and it definitely looked like they were struggling for guests and it was obvious why. The chefs did not seem too welcoming nor friendly and was more arrogant than they should be considering how lousy their ratings were. Place smelled fishy and the fish displayed did not seem very fresh. We opted for an overpriced 10 piece Omakase which was prepared very carelessly by the chef and was more annoying to watch than anything. All 10 pieces were prepared and given on a wood serving plate. Fish was not fresh, fishy smell, and a bit slimy. The rice was cooked improperly, too moist, and not of right temperature. Overall pretty lousy and not good at all. When my girlfriend ate the octopus nigiri, she was struggling to ingest it so I told her to spit it out on the napkin. I suppose the arrogant chef who saw that got offended so in retaliation, he coughed really loudly without covering his nasty mouth on me and counter where we sat. Totally low class and unprofessional behavior. I wanted to say something, but didn't want to cause a scene especially when our flight was just an hour away. We got up to pay and left in disgust. I would not ever come back to this terrible place nor recommend anyone.More

We had an extremely long layover coming in from Haneda, and found ourselves in that twilight zone of not enough time to do anything fun, but way to early to deal with going through security. Tsukiji Sushiiwa, which sits right at the south end of...terminal 1, near the ANA counters helped us pass the time in an enjoyable way. Eating there is exactly like eating at a proper sushi restaurant: there are individual dishes as well as 'ala carte.' The pictures in the menu are accurate. There is a good sake list. Prices are reasonable. And we felt no rush to leave. We had the Matsu Sushi assortment and the tokyo style scattered sushi (Chirashi like). Both were excellent, with a good fresh assortment of fish, well seasoned rice, and a good display. If you have some time before security, and want that one last sushi meal in Japan, this is the place to go.More

Missed out on eating sushi in Tokyo before returning to the U.S. so had the most expensive sushi set at $40 a plate. This sushi place was in Narita Airport Terminal 1. Some fish was good but over all, we were disappointed. Tsukiji is well...known for good fish and sushi. If this was a branch of that, we expected more.More

I loved the food, amazing sushi, and great experience to see the chef prepare in front of you. I feel bad as I unwittingly created somewhat of a panic when I realised I had lost my phone. I feel even worse because 10 minutes later...I found ot in my bag, of course. The staff where incredibly helpful and understanding.More

This place served more proper sushi than I expected. Despite the usual stereotypes about the quality of airport restaurant, this one was absolutely enjoyably. I wish we had more time to enjoy the dish but narita terminal 1 is quite awful. We thought there will...be enough time for dinner but the airport is too busy to allow us. It you arrive 3 hours ahead the departure, I recommend this place for the last meal. Loved the draft beer too.More

We were very disappointed in 2 aspects. First, the sushi chef went absolutely crazy with the wasabi portioning almost making the sushi uneatable. After about 2 pieces, I had to physically remove large chucks of wasabi from each and every sushi pieces - and I...am someone who loves generous portions of wasabi. Almost felt bullying by the chef. Second, the sushi chef has dirty over coat. We ate at the sushi bar and could see just how filthy his no longer white overcoat was. I would expect this at other countries but was supremely disappointed to witness this in Narita.More

Went by the pic of the menu and when I got my item it was half of fish displayed. But still charged full price. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. If you want your sushi fix I will defiantly recommend the one across from...gate 33More

I went there for a final sushi meal before travelling overseas. While the place is small, it has reasonable sushi options in the menu. Go for the maguro (tuna) sushi set, which is very tasty. They also offer assorted sets, as well as salmon and...shellfish sushi sets too. Sushi rolls are also another good option. I shared some sea urchin sushi rolls with my family and we were not disappointed. Prices are not cheap, but relatively reasonable. In comparison to other sushi options in Narita Airport's terminal 1, this goes second, only behind the small sushi place after passport control nearby United Airlines gates.More

I have had a sushi at the airport of Narita with my wife before a flight and i have to admit that it was ok for an airport sushi. A bit overpriced but quick and average quality. Not so bad for this location!
