Ippudo is a famous chain of Ramen restaurants, and here in Fukuoka is its birthplace. In downtown restaurant, you usually have to wait in line to eat Ramen, but in Sanno branch there is no waiting time. Ippudo offers two different soups: Akadama (red) and Shirodama (white). I personally prefer Shirodama soup, because it is less salty.

I typed Fukuoka Ramen into google and this was one of the first to pop up. It looked good so I decided to go. The ramen was tasty but I stopped short of giving 5 points because even though I ordered gyoza as well I was still hungry which is a bit odd I felt. I know you can order... More

It's really better than almost all of the franchise locations in the world. In short, Tonkatsu Ramen cannot be better than this. The restaurant is OK sized. We were unlucky that right before we arrived, a large Chinese tour group got there first, and gave us a hefty half an hour time penalty, and messed up the waiting line. The... More

we went to one of the two Ippudo shops behind Iwataya in the Tenjin district. You're greeted with a hearty irrasshaimase! from everyone working there and an equally noisy arigato gozaimashita when you leave. I always eat the akamaru ramen, which is a tad spicier than their shiromaru. They also make great gyoza, but they are tiny so I always... More

I went to two Ippudo ramen shops in Fukuoka. There's always long queue outside the restaurant and waiting time was about 10 mins. The soup and the noodle taste perfect and the small sized of Gyoza is also very tasty. If you like, do eat with the raw garlic and the Ippudo chilli sauce. I spent about 1,000 JPY per... More
