We went there on a slow monday for lunch, our hotel told us we dont need to reserve a table beforehand. Just went over and wait, it just took us 15 minutes to get our seat. Better sit by the pool with all the actions are. The food is exceptionally good, one of the best sushi restaurant we have ever... More

Tried to visit for lunch for its famous live squid in tanks by the table, but it was not opened for business. Asked hotel concierge to check and found that the restaurant would not open for lunch when there was no catch of live squid due to stormy weather.

This restaurant is a sashimi restaurant. They keep living jellyfish in a pool. All the dishes are so fresh and nicely presented. Never taste such a good meal. The price is half of Tokyo. Highly recommended to all visitors. Not many tourists know the place and unfortunately no English speaking services.

Having the squid swim around in front of you is an experience and they make good sashimi but rest of food is nothing to write home about.

We had planned to dine here for lunch and was eagerly waiting for the place to open for lunch before 12noon. When it finally did open, we were just left to stand there at the entrance and wait. I reckon this was more because of a language barrier and inability to communicate between us and the staff. Request for a... More

Ive put this up as there are very little reviews for this restaurant This was recommended by concierge at the grand hyatt. Only 1 min walk, as requested something very close and good sashimi. They serve sashimi at this restaurant. There is an English menu which was helpful. You sit side by side around a large live squid pool. Their... More

It's a must visit for those going around Fukuoka. Though I would say that this restaurant is not for the faint hearted especially if you are afraid foods that move in particular the squid. They may offer several seafood preparations but the people go here for the ika ikizukuri (live squid sashimi)... They have a strong tradition and come the... More

I visited this place nestled along the river in the Nakasu district of Fukuoka. It is a charmingly small place, with the main dining room dominated by a fishpond that literally harbors one's dinner. We ordered the omekase, which was a filling progression of really outstanding course after course. While my limited Japanese prevents me from recounting the specifics of... More
