This is a wonderful restaurant with great atmosphere and food. The prices are high by local standards, but for tourists it is a good deal for the quality. There are vegetarian options available, if you are crazy enough to visit Kazakhstan as a vegetarian like I was. The staff were very friendly, patient with our lack of Russian language skills,... Came here in search of beshbamark. Very extensive menu outside of this. Ended up with the veal and horse version. Very tasty and good quality. Definitely would recommend. Interior of restaurant very nicely decorated.

We asked the hotel to tell us a local food restaurant close to our hotel. When we arrived, we are so please to see such a beautiful place, the entry, the dining room, kitchen are all very nice set. We ordered salad, samsa and soup. All are very good. I would go back again before I fly back home.

Was very glad to see the same grandma greeting me at the entrance. I remember her on the first visit with my colleague in 2009 - we took a nice photo together. So restaurant doesn't change much. Still good food and slow service.

It is very unusual when you admire the beauty of the restaurant more than the food, but for better or for worse, Zheti Kazyna deserves this unusual accolade. Don't get me wrong, the food here is quite good and they serve a good variety of Kazakh and Asian fare at quite reasonable prices. But what stands out in this restaurant... More

We tried all the typical Kazakh dishes, sopra a very tasty soup of Lamb and potatoes, some lamb and eggplant, fried bread and some horse meat sausage. It was all very tasty and nice. The portion are average, not very big. The service is OK and they speak some English. A good place to try Kazakh cuisine.

Visited the restaurant with friends on the recommendation of a colleague; would not have known of it otherwise. The walled entrance to the restaurant, while elegant, belied what was behind it. Stepping in from the snow and cold outside, your eyes are immediately drawn to the large decorative apple tree (symbol of Almaty) and plates on the wall. A peak... More

Unfortunately this place is not what it used to be before. This time our visit was very short and unpleasant. We ordered flavoured vodka for aperitif and got water instead. When we called the bartender and the manager they could not say anything at all but kept repeating: we are sorry. The level of mismanagement and direct theft is really... More

The restaurant is rather famous in Almaty, so we were expecting delicious meals of local origin. In fact they offer local, Japanese, Chinese and European food. But none was tasty. We ordered salad, soup, main courses, and drinks, and we cannot give you any piece of advice what to order. Better find some other place to eat. On Saturday's evening... More
