My family ate dinner our last night in Malindi at The Old Man and the Sea and were sad we hadn't discovered this gem earlier. The food, from the smoked sailfish to the pepper crab, was excellent and the staff were very attentive. We will definitely visit again if we come back to Malindi!

I'd been told that this place had gone downhill but, having been loyal to the restaurant for well over a decade, I couldn't not come here for their famous Russian lobster and crab tagliatelle as soon as I landed in Malindi. It was as tasty as ever and the staff were beyond wonderful. Please support this charming little restaurant -it... More

Smallish Resturant on the coast road into Malindi . Used to be good when first visited several years ago especially for its smoked sailfish and its lobsters. The steaks were poor for several years , my wife tried them. It has now become poor service no tax on the prices it quotes so be prepared for a 25% increase on... More

An unassuming exterior hides a well established old favourite. Excellent service, tasty food and a pleasant atmosphere across from the beach in the old town Shella. Seasonal seafood, a fairly comprehensive menu including a number of delectable sounding desserts. The Creme Brulee was wonderful.

Good Morning, we are disturbed to read your Review. The Waiter recalls your complaint at the time, but added that you had 2 orders of Grilled Lobster with your Drinks. This would equate to a total bill of €40 inclusive of Govt Taxes. We would be grateful if you would recall the evening, as you appeared to have enjoyed the... More

Had lunch there with family, and though the food was lovely the portion size has definitely reduced significantly since the last time we visited and the time it took to actually get our food was over an hour and half. Service was adequate but not outstanding.

Good selection of delicious seafood. Bit pricy but good for a treat. The pasta dishes are particularly good, but recommend seafood overall.
