Insanely high prices for the quality you get, the service was ridiculous as they got nothing right regarding orders and bill

Prime location on the seafront opposite the outdoor food centre in Gurney Drive. Food is exorbitantly priced, taste is average at best and service nothing to shout about. The only thing good is the view at the sea front.

The location was great. It's on the Gurney road, adjacent to the round about near Plaza Gurney, and is by the sea. The view was very nice. It has open area for dining with the cool evening breeze. You can pick fresh seafood directly from the aquarium display. The food tasted good, the service was good too. The price is... More

We were going to the Bali Hai, but our taxi driver told us that this restaurant was cheaper and better. Shouldn't have listened. Food was so so, service was fine, location so interesting. Looking out onto the Malaccan Straits.

Overpriced! Cost is almost double of other seafood restaurants. Nothing special about this place. Food is edible but just too expensive. Google and try some other seafood restaurants around the area and you'll thank yourself for doing so.

This restaurant was one of my favourites for a long time. I even brought my tour groups for dinners cause of the great menu and delicious meals. Until now. This time I took my family for a dinner there where we only had a beer then we left. Upon arrival we realized the place was empty which was strange as... More

This is usually a restaurant patronized by tourists as locals find the prices on the high side. If you can overlook the high prices then go for the mantis prawns with row baked in spicy salt. 5 of these mantis prawns will cost you about RM200! The flower crabs cooked in sweet and sour sauce is another good bet.

Convenient location at one end of Gurney Drive. Attracts tourist buses though. My only peeve was they try to discourage you form using your credit card by saying it’ll take 10 minutes or more to process. Called their bluff and it card processed and came back in 3 minutes. Food-wise you can't go wrong with most restaurants in Penang.

The other reviewers are right. This place is pricey and not worth a visit. Unfortunately, the place we wanted to eat at was fully booked, so the driver recommended this place. When we walked in, we knew it was a mistake. There were hardly two other tables that were occupied. The prices were more expensive than seafood in Singapore. The... More

I'm a local Penangites, felt very shameful that this restaurant overcharge 2 mud crab for RM 96.00, they are charging 1 kg RM 120 for simple mud crab which is too overprice. I tried various mud crab before, but the overpriced mud crab is not so fresh as the meat still stuck in the shell. I would advise foreigner to... More
