Been to the Supertanker centre a couple of times recently and the food and service overall is good and cheap. We tried the fried oyster dish and it was just as good as the hype. It's a busy place so expect to share a table with the locals. Everyone in these parts is so friendly and willing to share tips... More

As recommended and commented by many, big variety of local food can be found here at rather affordable price. But since it's hawker centre, expect big crowds, long waiting for available table and also long queue for food during weekend and peak hours. Having said that, not recommended to go alone as you won't be able to order food if... More

Nestled in the Lip Sin neighbourhood lies the Supertanker hawker centre with about 30-40 food stalls. What's great here: Aki Pancake, Apom (in the morning), Chap Fan (economy rice). What's edible here: Curry mee, char koay teow, wantan mee, herbal duck noodle, belacan rice (in the evening), freshly-baked pastries/bread, loh mee. Complement the meal with a visit to the pasar... You hafta try "fish head curry" and "chicken clay pot" which they are so YUMMMM and amazing. I fell in love with only 2 dishes here without thinking when friends called me out for supper. LOL However, there is a fancy "Hokkian" rice soup, too. Here it is so fancy to me and I accepted that my tummy was so... More

My favourites include the multi-variety Aki Pancake, the scrumptous Fried Oyster, the tasty Char Koay Teow, the ever popular Chicken/Duck/Roasted Pork Rice and the aromatic Chinese Herbal Vermicilli Soup. The Satay isn't too bad either.

If you are visiting Bukit Jambul Shopping Complex in the evening, make a point to have your dinner or supper at the Supertanker Food Court where hawker food is abundance. The distance from Bukit Jambul Shopping complex to the food court is about less than 10mins by car. The food court is clean and so are the toilets. The food court... More

Penang Food court is near the market in Lip Sin Garden, Jalan Sungai Dua is a popular food court. Must try is the popular Ban Jian Kueh or Pancake, Apam, curry Mee. There are long queues at stalls so it's better to take our own food from the stalls than to wait for them to bring it to your table.... More
