Went for a date at the restaurant and everything is just nice as the service is really good. You can feel the Japanese essence just by having your dinner there.

The restaurant is a walking distance to Hotel Eden 54. The ramen prices are moderate but the Sashimi price is quite expensive. I compared the food price with KL, their price is more expensive. A simple chicken rice can cost RM10.

After a long day traveling we wanted to eat somewhere quiet, calm and reliable. Given that Kota Kinabalu is known for its seafood, a Japanese meal, having come across Nishiki by chance, sounded good. The miso soup was nourishing and warming as it ought to be. The special of the day - six chunky slices of tuna sashimi and six... More

We were yesterday for dinner and ordered the iidako, shake teriyaki, garlic rice, tempura soba and green tea drink. The noodles were undercooked, garlic rice smelt weird (maybe it's a different style of cooking), green tea drink was nice, the fish was alright and the seaweed wrapping the rice of iidako was not fresh. And I think it's overpriced for... More

Just visited here yesterday 05.05.2016, Time 12 noon. Dine with a friend in Nishiki Japanese Restaurant. Food are still very good. Sashimi very fresh. The lunch set still as good as ever. In term of prices, Nishiki is still cheaper than other Japanese Restaurant around Kota Kinabalu area. The ambience still peaceful and welcoming, I must say. Having say that,... More

A warm welcome and good service. The lunch time food selection is very attractive and enjoyed by both of us. The restaurant is clean and cool with a good hand wash area, especially after climbing the steps to the nearby observatory platform. The experience was so good we came back for a Sunday lunch as it is close to the... More

Dont judge the price that its too pricey as when you get their foods, it is reasonable because you can never taste that kind of fresh sashimi in the town. Still got taste of ocean and of course if you dips into wasabi soy sauce, it instantly melts inside your mouth 😍😍

Nishiki is the oldest restaurant in town and unlike many other restaurants which deteriorated in quality after a while, this one still maintains its high standard in food preparation, taste, service and cleanliness. The minute you step foot in the restaurant, you will be greeted with shouts of welcome in Japanese and warm towels at your table. The restaurant has... More

Authentic Japanese restaurant in Kota Kinabalu and one of the place that serves Pork Katsu Don in KK. The only thing for not rating full 5 ratings was the slow service but its worth while to wait for the delicious food here.
