I always bring visitors to Sarawak to this restaurant & it delivers every time. I always order a lot of the vegetable dishes because you can really taste the freshness in the crunchy texture & light herbal seasoning of these dishes. Very refreshing. Easily the...More

If you want something else than the usual food court dishes, choose the Dyak restaurant with indigenous food based on traditional recipes. And not very expensive, because we found most dishes to be suitable for two. The Dyak is located outside the center, so you...More

This restaurant offers local dishes with fresh local ingredients. The food was excellent! But what made this diner even better was the friendly and sweet people and the museum-like historical decoration. The restaurant is located just outside the city centre, but a cheap 15min drive...More

Local dishing prepared excellently, with a friendly touch. I enjoyed the dish made from Jungle ferns, second was the local flash in lemon grass broth with native eggplant (aubergene). Close thirds was a dish with cooked durian or one with beans (pandan?). As a westerner...More

'Dyak' is pronounced 'da-yak'; the old English spelling used by the Brookes to classify generically the various tribes of Borneo. At the.Dyak we serve Dayak cuisine prepared with culinary technique and served on Dayak kitchenware. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available. Air-conditioned with free WiFi. Smokers enjoy al-fresco dining. Open from 11:30am till last order at 8:30 pm every day including public holidays. Close on Sundays. Our table is not kosher as we serve pork.
