We wore excited to find this well reviewed restaurant to taste some more moroccan food but what we've found was a pretty expensive menu (120Dh each) comparing to so many other options that was not offering something so especial...The service was not so good as we were pressed to leave the restaurant as soon as we finished the oranges with... The best morrocan restaurant we went to in Essaouria. I had the couscous and my husband got a targine and they were both so delicious. Staff were very friendly and happy, great hosts. Definitely go for dinner while in Essaouria!

We had some lovely tagines during our stay in Morocco, but the food at Ferdaouss felt the most authentic; as if we were visiting a family who where all cooking for us. It was very warm, friendly and delicious. No alcohol, but really good value.

Lovely flavorful tagines with good service in a really nice space. Some of the best Moroccan food we've had on our trip. Highly recommended!

One of the best things we ate in Morocco was the goat tagine with dates and almonds at this place. The sardines were also delicious. Service was incredibly friendly. Very good prices particularly given the quality of the food.

Went here because our Airbnb host recommended it. It was so good we came back the second night and if we haven't continued our travels after that we'd have gone back again and again. They serve really good tagines, different from the standard ones. We tried beef, lamb, goat and chicken, all cooked a bit differently from the tagines elsewhere... More

We just had a great meal here. The chicken and fennel tagine was the star, but the goat with figs was also excellent. We also had cucumber and orange juice which was good. It's not fancy, it's just good, honest and very well done home cooked food. Recommended.

We enjoyed a cucumber with orange drink (no alcohol), lamb, couscous and something else tasty and yet simple. Served by a friendly waitress and costing 140 Dirham. It was our first day in Essaouira and therefore particularly enjoyed the task of finding Ferdaouss having explored only a little of the wonderful Medina.

The staff were very friendly, however the food was a little bland and the menu was a barely legible photocopy of something handwritten, service was terribly slow. I don't mean to slate the place but there really wasn't much going on.
