You can select your fish from the counter and tell how to prepare. Extremly cheap and unsurprisingly good. With rice, kalamari, salad and drink - less than 6€, and fish was big big.

On our second night in Nizwa we decided to try this fish restaurant and had a delicious meal. Located behind the date souk and adjacent to the goat market, the surroundings are unpretentious. On entering the restaurant, you select your choice of fish from the...counter display, as well as ordering other side dishes. This is then brought to your table. We opted for tuna kebabs, a Greek salad, hummus, local bread and fries with a bottle of water a photo of which is enclosed with the review. The food was excellent, the tuna was lightly cooked and beautifully tender, the salad had good quality tasty ingredients and the hummus has a nice spicy after taste. The bill came to a little over 4.5 Rials, unbelievable value for the quality on offer. The restaurant is cash only. Definatly a winner. Sometimes the unexpected surprises are the best.More

This great little restaurant has a ‘pop-up’ feel: cafeteria-style tables and a fish counter where you choose the fresh fish / seafood that you would like cooked. Seems odd at first, but it works! Service is quick and the food is delicious. We really enjoyed...a generous helping of garlic prawns and a surprisingly credible broccoli pasta side. Great value for money too - approx GBP 12 for two of us.More

If you love fish, you have to come here. You get what you order and it is always good. The fish is very fresh, you chose it from the fish counter.

Amazing fish but not only that: amazing mashed potatoes (totally unexpected), amazing Greek salad with fresh coriander, humus deliciously spiced up.... quick service, nice terrace and all this a few steps away from the old town castle. Not to be missed!

The restaurant is absolutely fantastic - one of the best places in Oman - in terms of food and especially in terms of seafood. The location is in the center - very close to the fortress and the souq, it has a really nice garden...and the people are really great. You can inside and choose the fish or seafood you want- the owner could advice you based on your preferences what to eat. It is served with really nice garden salad or tomato and cucumber salad and there is also thin bread, mmm....I still remember how nice it was. We had a dinner there and enjoyed the city lights and the fortress and the souq after that. The prices were nice as well, absolutely great to visit and stay. You can have a really nice mint tea in the end. Thank you.More

This restaurant is situated right behind the goat market. You can go up to the counter and choose the fish that you want cooked. A small Pomfret, Greek salad, hummus and bread, and a 7-Up cost only 2.9. Excellent value for good food.

We were quite satisfied with the quality of food. Recommend to take fish and shrimps for two people. Squids are not the best.

We could choose the fish to be grilled from the counter. Tuna and spit-roastet shrimps were something incredible even compared to the fresh Italian fish. For 2 small bottles of water, 1 salad, 4 skewered tuna, 3 sticks of roasted shrimps and a small roasted...fish with Arabian bread we payed 4.500 OMR (10,40 euro). I strongly recommend it. They have different fresh fish every day. Btw, waters are not so friendly but it doesn’t count!More

We had dinner at this restaurant, 4 adults and 3 kids. The place is a bit hidden but it is worth looking for it, basically in the back yard or the street passing by the suk, right in the city center. You can choose from...a large variety of fresh fish that they will grill for you. The bread and humus we ordered as a starter was delicious too. The owner is super welcoming and kind. All in all this was a very pleasant experience. highly recommended!More
