Had been visiting this joint since the last 20 years or so and am glad to know - they have maintained the quality as well as the serving sizes. Still one of the best joints to have Chinese (Indo-Chinese) foods in Oman, though now being slightly out of the way since the scene shifted towards Qurum and Bowsher side. Even... More

We turned up at 8pm to a near empty restaurant, normally a bad sign - but in our case we were just there before it warmed up. By the time we left there were more diners and a better atmosphere. Portion size was huge, you will not leave hungry, and the food was delicious. All of the reviews mention the... More

Couple of times have been here and after a break had gone back to taste a different variation and should say we're not disappointed. Overall the ambience is good and dishes are decently priced. Possibly what lacked was that there was no real advice in dishes. That needs to be scaled up.

Been going here for years. Has not been on top of my list lately. I guess the visits may be due to a case of nostalgia. I believe the cooks during their hey day left in a hurry and it's just not been the same since. You now pay for the outdated ambiance rather than quality food. Perhaps if the... More

One of the oldest in Muscat, the Golden Oryx offers great sea food. Don't miss out on jumbo prawns as starters. Even the fish is delicious. Though this is a Chinese restaurant, at times the taste not authentic Chinese - caters to South Asian & Middle Eastern taste. Overall a place worth a visit. The only negative is the interiors...
