Only been here once but I did enjoy it. The service and food was really good. I don't think their food is exceptional but it's somethinh worth a try.

My family loves Yabu. I love the katsu and I enjoy the unlimitted miso soup, cabbage salad, and rice. The price is also just right.

I have tried other Japanese restaurants specialising in katsu and I always use Yabu's as my benchmark. The results were either disappointing or mediocre. Yabu's katsu is soft and tender and flavourful with every bite. For less than 500 pesos you get to choose the size of your katsu, choose between brown or white rice, and have unlimited servings of... Yabu is a much better restaurant than Tonkatsu. The taste is much better, pork is softer and love the salad dressing more.

It's like being transported back to Japan!! The chicken and pork katsu set with its presentation, the sauces, the panko crust, the shredded cabbage salad, the miso soup, choice of white or brown rice....and free refills of the soup, salad, fruits and rice!!! What a bonus! And you need to try their panko-crusted tofu appetizer. One of the best tofu... More

The food was great and mouthwatering. I ordered Menhci Katsu Set. It was savory and really tasty. They serve unlimited rice and fruit dessert. It's a nice place to eat with friends. They only have limited japanese menu. They don't serve gyoza which I think a very famous japanese food. If you really want to eat authentic japenese, try other... More

We've been going to Yabu eversince it opened its first branch in SM Megamall in 2011. Back then, they were just heating up the foodie scene with their katsu offerings and impeccable service. We remember their first manager, Sir Mon with fondness because he always welcomed us with warm smiles and attended to our requests personally. Now, 6 years later,... More

Restaurants in shopping malls are usually bland and bad. This one may not be as good as the equivalent Tonkatsu place in Tokyo but its not bad. Its busy at meal times but the staff are friendly and efficient. And.... the pork tonkatsu is pretty tasty. If you have to eat in Megamall this is the best I have encountered.

For me, they serve the best katsu. The size of the meat is relatively big. The sauce is great! Service is good. Wished there were more choices in the menu, though.
