The spot for lechon. Very busy and long waits but worth it. Do not limit yourself to their lechon which was excellent. Other dishes are well prepared. Service is decent despite the huge crowd. Lechon availability is limited so come early. Other dishes are well...prepared. They even have puto bumbong and bibingka.More

I was really disappointed with the Lechon Kare Kare I ordered at your restaurant. The meat was not what I expected based on the photo in the menu. It looked like shredded leftovers or excess cuts from the whole Lechon. When I approached the waiter...about it, he just told me that they have been changing the item because of complaints about the bone to meat ratio. I understand the concern, but I would have appreciated being informed about this before ordering. I hope you can improve the presentation of the dish or at least inform customers beforehand. Thank you.More

The best place to eat in Cebu!!! Be sure to try the spicy lechon, Filipino-style salad, and garlic rice! The staff are also very friendly and there is even a security guard.

We visited twice out of the three days we were in Cebu. The first visit was better than the second, mainly because the second time they didn’t have crispy skin and had to deep fry it. It didn’t taste as good. We enjoyed the original...flavour pork as opposed to the spicy. We tried the noodles and a stir fry veg dish. Both were yummy. Garlic rice was nice. Filipino desert was really nice, and the ones in the glasses were good too.More

My wife and I, both senior citizens, just had our dinner (March 20, 7pm) at House of Lechon. Management of House of Lechon should check if they are complying with the Senior Citizen Law which mandates giving 20% discount on food eaten by senior citizens....The senior citizen discount (P95.98) given to us was not 20% of our total bill of P1,075 less VAT of P57.59. The amount at stake is small but I feel senior citizens are short-changed, in case the calculation of senior citizen discount by House of Lechon is not correct.More

We did not enjoy the food, it was expensive for what we got. Lechon skin was not crispy, meat was tough. The only food I enjoyed was the puto bumbong dessert. Cebu lechon is suppose to be one of the best in the country but...they failed miserably on this one, it was terrible! 😞More

Very poor experience at this restaurant, a far cry from the reviews we had read before going. You're promised pork in your dish, and you end up with pork liver (cheaper for the restaurant owner but not the same taste when served). A total disregard...for the customer. Here is our experience: We arrived at 8 PM, and due to its success, there was no more lechon available. We understood and decided to still eat there. We waited over 20 minutes for a waiter to come and take our order. We chose noodles with pork, shrimp, and vegetables. The pork turned out to be pork liver!!! It has nothing to do with what we expected, and we were deceived. It was the end of the service, so I imagine only the offal was left in the kitchen. We notified the waiter, who did acknowledge that it was pork liver and also admitted that it wasn't stated on the menu. The dish was not good, we didn't eat it, and there was no compensatory gesture. To me, this is deceit. We received our dishes at 8:45 PM and 5 minutes later were asked to pay and leave because the restaurant was closing at 9 PM. It's disgraceful, a lie, we do not recommend.More

Wanted to go for the Lechon, jumped in a cab from our hotel only to be told they had sold out of Lechon, these things happen so we went in and had a nice meal. Bit sad we didn’t have the Lechon though. So on...our last day in Cebu we try again but go earlier. Grab a cab head to the place and yet again no Lechon !!! Turned round and went back.More

If you have guests coming to Cebu and you want a nice ambience to eat Cebu's signature Lechon, House of Lechon is definitely the place to be. They only do walk-ins for weekends and/or holidays so have a person stand in the waiting line and...order ahead of time as they are a popular restaurant. Try out their lechon both Carcar and Spicy (we prefer the spicy one) with their chicken skin, Cebu express and their vegetable soups. Scallops is good too but too few for Cebu price, although we understand its restaurant price (try eating in Carbon Night Market if you want bang for your bucks seafood). Good for big groups but I don't recommend for solo or pair diners as it is noisy and the portions are best for group dining.More

It's good but the lechon is overpriced for tourists. I got the one person portion and it was two pieces of skin in 300 pieces of meat offer not that little bit of money.

This is a must visit in Cebu! Food tastes great for a reasonable price: 1. Lechon tastes good but Id still prefer Rico's, Ayer's or even Elar's. Just a 4/5 2. Utan Bisaya tastes good but too salty for us. Also, didn't like the blackish...colored soup. If I may suggest, use danggit instead of ginamos. This is a 3/5. 3. Chinese Ngohiong tastes great. 4.5/5 4. Grillef Chorizo is a 5! 5. Rice in Caldero is a 5! 6. Kinilaw Tanigue is a 4/5. For me it lacks vinegar. Place is a 4.5/5: 1. I like the native Vibe, spacious place and comfy chairs. 2. Location is very accessible as it's near Ayala. 3. Gravel parking gets muddy during rainy days. They should have cemented it. This is something to improve on. Worth recommending!More

We returned after five years since our first visit and the review below. Impressive. The general public is also voting with its feet: demand is so high the restaurant has had to institute a reservation system but the good news is this works well. Our...visit was on a Monday evening too when the norm might be for restaurants to be quieter than more obvious days. When we arrived the restaurant was heaving; in view of this demand we were put onto the waiting list and able to sit down in a designated area as well as being advised that 'lechon', the main attraction, was 'on hold', meaning it might not be available when we came to order. I like this openness, I like it very much! In the event we were able to order 3/4 kg of standard lechon which hit the spot with some very crisp crackling or 'chicharron' as the locals call it. We filled this out with a fine piece of barbecued tuna, Cebu Express, a delicious creamy vegetarian take on the famous Bihol express, mixed vegetables and yummy garlic rice; we washed this lot down with some deliciously flavoured kalamansi (lime) juice and the kids had equally drinkable iced tea. Oh and as a family we were celebrating two birthdays which straddled three days: we were touched by the staff's traditional rendition of Happy Birthday and some luscious puto bongbong cheesecake. In chatting with our waiter we learned the restaurant has a new chef who has revamped all the menus. Judging on the demand it's all a success story. Our only gripe would be the time it took to process payment via our card: this triggered some fears especially when it was returned with a paid receipt without a signature or authorisation code being required. So a great birthday celebration! Many thanks and hopefully we'll be back sooner next time!More
