It’s my second time here and surely enough I’ll be making a habbit on picking this place whenever I want to spoil myself.
Vampire’s Lemonade brought me back in time to those childhood memories, experiencing a fresh/cold drink on a hot summery day.
Following, the main dish - a crispy chicken sandwich filled with avocado increased both my apetite and curiosity for the traditional romanian desert called “papanasi”.
While the food was delicious it would be a shame not to mention the pristine serving experience I encountered in this place.
Overall, I encourage anyone to pay this restaurant a visit should they be in town.

Located in the city center of Cluj-Napoca, this restaurant offers a variety of delicious dishes and deserts. The quality of the food is excellent and the portions are generous. It is the kind of place that will make you come back for more.

We went in with high expectations and weren't disappointed. The food was delicious, the staff was great and the ambiance was really nice. The double roasted potatoes with garlic were incredible, i was really surprised with the taste. I will surely visit them again, "The Count's burger" is next in line.

Today I went out with my girlfriend and wanted to finally get to experience the food at Garlic. Unfortunately I was left quite disappointed with the food and the service. We had a matcha lemonade, the burnt garlic cream soup and two burgers, one was the panko chicken burger and the other the counts burger also for desert we had the sweet bites and the count's chocolate delight. The lemonade was good, definitely an interesting combination with matcha, and the soup was quite tasty, those were the good parts, we had our order taken fast and the food was also delivered fast. But the bad parts were the burgers and the deserts, mostly the wait time which made the food taste bad and it made out experience unpleasant and not worth the money spent. We have waited 1 hour for the burgers to be delivered to us, they were cold and the fries got dry and tasteless since they were cold, also due to the burgers waiting so long they were soggy and the buns were falling apart, which made the burger be difficult to eat and messy, also the burnt garlic sauce really did not have a garlicky taste, it was plain mayonnaise. Now for the next bad part the deserts, somehow this was even worse, after the burgers the deserts were delivered pretty fast but without any cutlery to eat it with and we waited almost 10-15 minutes to get a spoon and a fork with a knife, in this time the count's chocolate delight, a lava cake basically, got cold , the ice cream was more than half melted and it mixed with everything else on the plate also the chocolate and ice cream were lower quality ingredients. The sweet bites were nothing extraordinary since the supposed vanilla cream was tasteless. The servers were not properly trained as one guy did not know which table had what food. At some point when we finally received our cutlery we asked to get a change for the ice cream that melted because of the staffs fault and the server said they are sorry but they are full and and apologize but they can't do anything else. At least when you are fully booked and busy just don't bring cold food to the table and make me sit and look at the desert as it melts away. I am sorry but I expected something else and will not recommend this restaurant to other people. Definitely not worth the money in my opinion.

Excellent client service and very tasty food 🤤. The waiter was very kind and freaking fast, always delivering dishes like she knew the teleporting hack (with full house). Nice atmosphere, will certainly come back when traveling Cluj.

Went for dinner and had first course and main dish. Both was absolutely delicious, of course a decent amount of garlic was involved. The portions were very generous, if you are a small person, only a main dish / two starters might be enough. Staff was quick and friendly and atmosphere good but audiosensitive people might find the music irritating, we thought it was ok. loved the general vibe and the staff was sweet. The quality was absolutely worth the money, but there was no free tap water (with is drinkable in Rumania). NB: regarding prices, I might be biased as a tourist from outside the country.
All in all, go to Bistro Garlic, it's a great place and delic food.

The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings. The menu offers a delightful variety of dishes, each prepared with fresh ingredients and presented beautifully.
A special mention goes to our waiter, Andreea, her attentive and friendly service truly enhanced our dining experience. She was knowledgeable about the menu, made excellent recommendations, and ensured that we had everything we needed throughout the meal.

We stumbled upon Garlic Bites & Tales in Cluj and were instantly hooked! It's a fantastic restaurant with a friendly atmosphere and delicious food. The menu offers a variety, from classic Romanian dishes to creative burgers (we tried the "Count's Burger" - yum!) and more (we also tasted the “Pui Panko” - delicious!).
But let's not forget the star of the show - the garlic! They use it beautifully in many dishes, adding a flavorful twist without being overpowering. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the whole dining experience even more enjoyable.
Highly recommend Garlic Bites & Tales for anyone looking for tasty food and good vibes in Cluj. Just a heads up, they offer breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even brunch on weekends, so you can visit any time of day!

The food is very good, the staff was kind and always available. Even though the restaurant was almost full, it didn't take more than 15-20 minutes for our food to arrive. The atmosphere is welcoming and cozy. I recommend with love!

Unfortunately, we did not have the best experience in terms of service. When we arrived, there was only one free table in the sun. We asked the ladies at the entrance (including a lady manager, or something) to move, when possible, to a table in the shade. When a table in the shade became available, we got up to sit there, but the lady manager was already preparing to offer the table to other customers. Although we explained and reminded her that we asked to be moved, she had a very defensive attitude towards us and insisted that she was not the one we talked to about moving. Although they offered us the table in the end and we chose to stay, because the food order had already been given, we were left with a bitter taste. Not to mention the absolutely terrifying looks that this lady gave us afterwards. Very unprofessional, for a mess that, as customers, did not concern us.
Good food, the staff who served us at the table (the waitress) were very kind, but the incident with the 'manager' who does not know how to manage and be diplomatic, makes me leave this negative review.

Had i wonderful dinner with Garlic bread bites and Succulent ribs with roasted potatoes and home made garlic sauce took my taste buds into a trip to unknown.
Special cocktail Amurg cleared taste buds between bites and guided the way to heaven for that night.
Refreshing Socata refreshed my jumetatea meas thirst.
Whole trip was crowned my Papanashului... oh my glycos levels, but its worth eaxh and every time.

Restaurant is trendy, giving a youthful vibe, and food is tasty. Garlic soup is great, a bit of a twist on the traditional version; so is the sour cream mushrooms stew with creamy polenta. Poppy seed crepes are ok - did not strike me as different except the poppy seeds mixed in the filling and sprinkled over.
Very good service willing to give you suggestions.
Prices a bit higher but hey! - trendy has always been a bit pricier!

Made a short notice reservation and they were very kind to note it. Entered on the terrace and the smell pf garlic was everywhere and liked it from the start. However, we took a burger and a pork steak and had a very tasty lunch with 2 cold drinks

Some of the best food we’ve had in Cluj! Whilst everything we had was delicious, the garlic bread is the best we’ve ever had, EVER. Make sure to try when you go.
