Great food and house made dessert selection, a bit pricy but (I suppose) worth it. Nice outdoor seating but smoking people at next tables were really annoying. Perhaps the management should consider separate sections for smokers and non-smokers?

LPQ is a Belgian chain, quite popular among those Muscovites, that believe in healthy eating. It isn't cheap, but not overpriced either, they serve soup and main courses, also you can take food away. Good for business meetings and creative brainstorming sessions.

These are all over Moscow. The one on Novinsky is a nice, quiet place for breakfast. Very clean. Excellent service. If there is a better pastry than the chocolate croissant for breakfast, I haven't tasted it. Oatmeal was very good. Omelet was outstanding. All the breads were excellent. Made a point of eating there about 4 times while I was... More

I often go there for Sunday brunch. It is generally quiet early in the morning and I enjoy having a quiet some coffee and an omelette. The service is always very good. Some of the waiters do speak English and they do have English menus.

Have been coming since '07, primarily for nostalgic reasons, but also because the location is great, convenient jump off point to spend your day in the city after breakfast. The quality can vary from excellent to poor, primarily because the staff rotate which affects the device, plus the pastries can often be stale. My wife always asks, is the cake... More

The first morning I was here I went to Starbucks, which was great but then I found Le Pain and now have been going there every morning for my coffee fix! They also have great pastries that are different than you find else where!

Have been here yesterday. American coffee is not an american one. Even not a coffee served in a plate. Portion of Borsch is of a kid's size. Tasty bread. There are no enough hangers for cloth. The toilette (small cabin) is in the eating area. People are waiting in a queue right here near the tables with visitors. Personal is... More

Staying in Arbat

Neighbourhood Profile
Arbat
Crowds of tourists, both local and international take in Old Arbat and its modern and gigantic peer – New Arbat. One reason visitors keep coming is no doubt Konstantin Melnikov’s famous private house, now open to the public and worthy of a visit. After exploring one of the oldest parts of Moscow, avoid the crowds and turn to the side streets and boulevards where calmness and affordable food is plentiful.
