I wrote about this restaurant in my review of the Petro Palace Hotel but thought I should include my comments in the restaurant section since some readers may only be searching for a restaurant. One evening after a full day of walking and sight-seeing in St Petersburg, we decided that it would be relaxing to have dinner in the hotel... More

After other comments, I was concerned, but tired kids meant eating nearby. It was good. Service was attentive with only the occasional arm-wave, the food was delicious and wine reasonable. We didn't witness the folklore show with "nearly alive bear". This turned out to mean 'lifelike'!

Service very good food of a high standard. Cost reasonable for a good class place. The entertainment enjoyable. Choice of food was fairly extensive. Not rushed could sit and enjoy everything. Decor of a high standard. Drinks - had a wide choice. A flow of people used the facility. The only problem was that it rained very heavily one evening... More

We were staying at the hotel Petro Palace and it was convenient for us to have dinner there . We arrived at the hotel on a Saturday and that night they had live music so we made reservation. We enjoyed the food, the music and the atmosphere of the place, but service was very slow.

We used this restaurant (hotel restaurant for Petro Palace Hotel) hoping for a quick meal after a long journey from Moscow. The food was average when it came, but service took a very long time. Prices were average too. Overall, nothing special.

Boef Strogonoff was brilliant, service very good and not expensive. There is some communication problems. The restaurant is clean and the location also good. We dined there two nights

Good service recieved in very quiet restaurant. We were at the hotel next door Sunday- Wednesday morning and the Russian entertainment was advertised for Wednesday, Friday & Saturday so could not see it.

We were staying at the Petro Palace as a stop-over on a business trip and ate at the hotel's restaurant, Baron's. Overall, I never minded eating here often since there was a variety of things to try and everything I ordered in the past was always good. You've GOT to try the beef stroganoff. With the creamy mushroom sauce and... More
