The place seems to be stuck in time and has this beginning of the nineties feel to it as if the Soviet Union has just collapsed and the nouveau riche Russian criminals decided to design the place themselves. Very weird and grotesque interior. Dirty floor. Hospitable service. The food was quite alright though, but nothing truly special. The cuisine is... More

The place is not cheap, but the cuisine is good, fish seems to be the best. The wine choice is ok. I do not feel that the place is worth a dedicated visit, but I definitely recommend it if you pass by and think about a dinner.

This restaurant offers an old style ambiance and etiquette. The food is fine, the service is very good. The waitress could hardly speak English, which was puzzling.

This charming old world restaurant is adjacent to the 1913 Hotel (discount off menu prices is given to hotel guests). It has a phenomenal menu, with unique dishes that include plenty of Russian traditional fare, all expertly done with care (the Borscht is fantastic). We ate there a few times, all food was always very fresh and flavourful with fine... More

We dined here on August, 13th. The restaurant is really refined, it has good furniture, a musician playing sax and waitresses with proper etiquette. It has menus in English, the personnel speaks English fluently, and is always available to explain everithing, starting from the dishes in the menu up to the bill (not an obvious thing, most restaurants in Russia... Wonderful customer service and delicious food make for a lovely evening. Dined earlier than the norm (730) so we had the servers all to ourselves.

We had lunch in this restaurant. Food nothing excellent. The chicken wasn't cooked very well and; without taste. In my opinion is an normal restaurant, nothing special with some Russian speciality snd nothing else.

As part of a tour group I expect we ate from a pretty bland group menu. It was ok and there was nothing I'd have sent back to the kitchen, but it was nothing special

We were fortunate to have a Russian friend of ours take us to this restaurant; otherwise, we would have never found it. It was the first time that I have had vodka with dinner Russian style where a bottle is ordered for the table and it came beautifully decanted. Our host ordered the dishes which consisted of sorrel and barley... More
