Wonderful 8 course meal for dinner! Menu is never the same and be delighted by the friendly service and great food. Ingredients may be simple but quality is not affected. Exquisite cuisine at an insanely good price. Make your reservations early! It was sad seeing...More

The dinner was fabulous, a real 8-courses kaiseki dinner with traditional dishes revisited. The menu (which is fixed, obviously) changes continuously; when I visited it I appreciated the entrées assorted plate, the cod, the phenomenal tempura with shrimp and coffee sorbet; the desserts were spectacular...More

The many courses were modeled after the traditional Japanese dinner. Every one had a twist that made it special. We were delighted with all the efforts made each dish not only taste great, but also look beautiful. The price is so inexpensive compared to the...More

Was looking forward to this following the great reviews on here so we're slightly disappointed that it didn't live up to expectations. Booked a counter seat a month in advance. Upon arrival at 8pm were asked to go upstairs. We insisted we wanted a counter...More

Situated in an old "minka" style house sitting on the edge of a tranquil and pretty canal, this is a place where you will be a little crowded in and exposed to the kitchen fireworks, smells, and chatter--but that is really the point of going,...More

I made reservations through my hotel about 2 weeks in advance. I was told that I would have to leave my CC in case I did not show which was fair. One thing about the restaurant is that it is baby friendly! We wondered what...More

A lively restaurant serving contemporary kaiseki. This place is really fun, at least if you manage to get a counter seat where you can talk to the chefs and other guests. They serve a set course dinner, and I had eight beautifully presented and excellent...More

I got a Japanese friend to make the reservation for me as I found the website very difficult to navigate.
Can you tell me if the tables upstairs are Western style with chairs or Japanese low tables? Will a group of six large people be comfortable upstairs?
