We oardered sesame salads and a variety of skerews a la carte. All the skewers were good and we liked the duck meatballls. Service was a bit cool, but not unfriendly. A couple of mistakes made in orders that were quickly corrected when called to...More

Reservations recommended for dinner. Our hotel managed to get us squeezed in after a 6:00 seating had left early. There were several set dinners. We opted for the 6800yen for two and were very pleased. This is a high end version of the normal ordinary...More

To go to an all chicken restaurant for someone who is not crazy about eating chicken ... this restaurant really surprised me and my sisters! We ate the Sukiyaki, sesame salad, the fried chicken (Kyoto specialty) and we enjoyed everything! Service was excellent and very...More

With no reservation made and coming in late, we were greeted with a very modest welcome and a brief introduction with reminder of 10% service charges. With perseverance we finally was accepted to go to a very cozy little room upstairs and everything changed. Good...More

Cozy restaurant in the Gion district of Kyoto. The speciality of the house is “Yakitori” which means BBQ, chicken, and just about anything else. Food is served mainly on skewers and you can order by the skewer or as a course with many dishes. The...More

Wabiya Korekido was recommended by the owner of Tempura Matsu and they are specialized in chicken cuisine with own chicken farm. Their setup is very different between lunch and dinner. They don’t accept reservation for lunch and everyone has to queue up, so is better...More

I went for dinner also, so I'm not sure about the lunch menu. I would highly recommend the restaurant for dinner. It's in a historic part of Kyoto, and we even saw a geisha on our way there!
