Booked the Ladies Group Plan lunch before we came. The person who replied my email was very nice. They substituted some dishes for us because we don’t take beef or raw fish. They can also cater for vegetarian dining but will need to book ahead....More

Having just left the temple nearby we were hungry and stumbled upon this restaurant by accident. There are in fact two restaurants in this complex, one which is all about Tofu where we ended up and another which was more formal/expensive. We opted for the...More

The staff at Hotel Mume recommended this tofu-focused restaurant, which is close by a historic Buddhist garden worth seeing on its own. You can easily walk from old Kyoto to both. The meal was varied and the tofu inspired cuisine was delicious and not filling.

Stumbled on this place after a long walk around gardens and temples. We had no idea about what we ate but the vibe was calm and view lovely. Way too much food, lovely tofu but we wished we had ordered sides for one of us...More

First time experience with a vegetarian, largely tofu menu. Wanted something tasty and not heavy for lunch and this fit the bill. Enjoyed each of the dishes. Very nice setting and attentive staff. Highly recommended!
